Can't believe they bunted up in the count

Crazy to say, but it is possible Ortiz did it on his own.

OK, but then you have a whole bunch of guys bunting on their own which means they feel free to do so.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

The amount of bunting tonight. .did Ron Roenicke take over this team again?

Murphy wanted to make sure the vicious Chicago media didn’t ask him any questions about the Brewers swinging for the lake.

Can some baseball historian confirm that this was the stretch of winning 4 out of 5 games that least felt like winning 4 out of 5 games in MLB history?

I understand the bunt call there if you had a player that was good at bunting.

Even then I don’t like it. They just said something about how the Brewers are one of the worst teams in MLB at driving in runners from third with less than 2 out.

Also why attempt a bunt that is probably not going to be successful to set up a situation that is probably not going to produce the result you want.

Ortiz probably had a better chance of hitting a grounder through an infield that is moving around than laying down a successful sacrifice.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

They do have that freedom. That is not news. But I have to think the bunt was on with Ortiz and yes it is very questionable with .200 K hitter up next.

2 wins on this trip when scoring one run in 9 innings.

Good to clinch the season series tonight with a bad pitching matchup and a stressed bullpen tomorrow.

Great pitching again. How many games have we had where bullpen gives up nothing? Seems extraordinarily good.
Lots of rumor mill stuff today too with Brewers inked to a bunch of SP. wondering if its a case of smoke and then fire.

Need to go to McGill

Come on man its Megill. Sorry to be the grammar police but the guy has literally saved 20 games. He deserves to get his name called correctly
