I keep flipping back and forth about what will eventually sink the crew.

Is it a really weak starting rotation or is an offense that without Yelich struggles to score?

Two things can be true.

Surely there is someone in AAA that can add more value to the 26-man roster than Monasterio

He is not helping Milwaukee offensively or defensively

Honestly, that should have been a layup improvement at the deadline.

Monteserio getting doubled off is a problem. When you never play look alive when you do. Also if Sanchez is hitting 3 how good are you?

Sanchez and Bauers against RHP.

Ortiz is about the closest thing to an automatic out as you can have right now.

Even counting Churio there really is no one that I trust from at bat to at bat.

Tough crowd. He's had a rough stretch in general post injury for sure, but those last 2 outs today were barreled up pretty well to the warning track.

Brewers hitters take strike 3 with men on base so much. Saw a doc about Reggie Jackson. He said he got called out with men on about 10 times in his life. Why? He wanted those steaks. Brewers need that philosophy.

This ump is blind as hell

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

I'm not sure how long you can keep going with a guy hitting 0.170 in your lineup for the better part of 2 months.

He's going to need to spend some time in the off-season with a hitting guru to iron out his mechanics and probably play winter ball.

I could see if Yelich got hurt after the deadline. Knowing he was out and still not getting even one platoon worthy bat is criminal.

Especially with him coming back at all being a decent question.

But you must work the count and make the pitcher throw as many pitches as possible!

A lot on this board would lose their minds if the Brewers were more aggressive at the plate.  The watching of 2-0 or 3-0 pitches split the middle of the plate is just maddening.  I don’t care what the count is if there is a pitch that splits the middle of the plate in the strike zone the batter should be swinging at it.  You can’t wait for the next pitch just to up the count of pitches for the pitcher.  You may not get a better pitch to hit in the AB.

This stupid work the count and don’t swing at pitches being up 2-0 or 3-0 needs to die.

Yeah, they spend so much time trying to work the count, they forget about actually scoring.

Agreed. Also close pitches can be fouled off. It's as if they feel if I can't hit a close pitch leave it to blue to decide. What happened too fouling it off to get a better one??
