Brewers and Athletics have matching 18 W - 12 L records since the All Star Break.

Looks like Oakland’s hot streak has actually been going on since the beginning of July with their 25 W - 17 L record ranking 4th in MLB over that stretch.

Sears has been pretty good lately and our offense hasn't exactly been clicking on all cylinders the past couple of weeks or so.  Oakland isn't nearly as bad as they were in the beginning of the season.

Which means we will hang 8 runs on him.

That's how baseball works.

Fisher should sell the team while stock is high.

Also, Fisher should sell the team because he's awful.

Fischer family purchased the A’s for 180 million dollars. The Orioles were just sold for 1.7 billion dollars.

If you own an MLB team why on Earth would you ever sell it when the prices keep going up and up and up and team success is largely irrelevant in franchise value.

That’s why Fischer doesn’t care an iota what the product is on the field. This is straight financial situation. Better facilities = improved franchise value.  Which is why he does what he does, so he can find some municipality full of tax payers dumb enough to use their dollars to further increase the equity he has in his baseball club.

Oh, I know why Fisher does it. Baseball would be better if owners agreed (and they'll never do this) that before a team is moved, it must be sold. Because if a team must be moved out of its home city, that should be considered a massive failure on the part of ownership.

It also prevents the John Fishers of the world from exploiting another city and reaping the rewards for doing so.

I had a long treatise on my thoughts on moving the A's, and other teams, but I'll spare the IGT of my rantings. The IGT is no place for ranting.

Where the A's are moving from I remember Tim Dillard saying the place smells like Mouse/Rat urine and have less than 7000 per game attendance.

One of Mitchell/Frelick has to play vs a LH starter, interested in seeing who sits. I'm guessing Mitchell.

It's Frelick. Perkins is hitting 2nd tonight!

In other news, Ashby is currently sitting 97-98 and just mowed down the side for Nashville.

I get the impression his starting days are done which is probably okay as he might end up as a much more effective reliever than starter.

I like that line up a lot better.

There is absolutely no reason for Mitchell to ever be hitting in the three spot or clean up for the rest of the year

That is very good news, I personally thought he was shot.

The Brewers may be on to something with Aaron Ashby's new role in Triple-A

A move to the bullpen has resulted in an incredible four-game stretch for Aaron Ashby at a time where he's needed any good vibes he can get.
