No, Duran will turn 17 on July 24.  He would have been eligible when the signing period opened on January 15.

Just a late 2025 IFA sighting, I think. He’s been 16 since July 2024. We usually sign a few IFAs (mainly pitchers) after the January signing window opens.

Luiyin Alastre appears to have been promoted to High-A Wisconsin!

Obviously Alastre was in the shadows of some of the super-hyped guys at Carolina so not expected, at least not by me. He's been moved around the field quite a bit so It'll be interesting to see what's in store for him at Wisconsin.

ZEBULON, N.C. – The Milwaukee Brewers recently announced a series roster transactions affecting the Carolina Mudcats active roster. The announced moves include the promotion of INF Luiyin Alastre and C Blayberg Diaz from the Mudcats to A+ Wisconsin, the addition of C Eric Martinez from A+ Wisconsin, the addition of RHP Jaron DeBerry and INF Luis Lameda from the Arizona Complex League Brewers to the Mudcats and INF Luis Pena placed on 7-day IL.

The Carolina Mudcats roster is currently at 29 active players and 2 players on the injured list.

So looking at the ACL roster we have 29 players active between 2024 holdovers and these additions. I put Hayden Robinson on long term IL even though he's currently listed as active just because he had TJ less than a year ago so it's hard to believe he's active.

With 29 active players on the ACL roster that has my count at 156 of the 165 stateside slots being filled. This does include Ty Duvall on the Sounds Development List just because I'm not sure what to do with him.

I wonder what's going on with Dylan O'Rae.

That would seem to be a very talented Rookie ball team, is May 3rd the 1st game for them? There looks to be plenty of talent that could move to Carolina in a month or two.

Yes, they host the ACL White Sox on Saturday. Last year, the offense carried the team (Bitonti, Di Turi, Adamczewski). Hoping for some breakthrough pitchers this year (Renz, Dubanewicz, Tobias, Dorchies, etc.).

With Hayden Robinson and Joey Broughton both getting TJ at the same time (July-ish), hopefully we get a little peak at them late late in the season.
