- RHP Dikember Sanchez released by Low-A Carolina

I am saddened but not surprised.  Dikember had a lot of struggles this year, but had a magical 2024.  Hope he catches on somewhere and finds success on the mound again,

In 4 years of college ball (61 relief innings) he has a career ERA of 7.08.  Strikeouts were not the problem (94), but walks definitely were.  Much better results in his 9.1 IP in the frontier league.  Feels like a project for the Brewers.  That's some nugget mining though.

No 2024 though - wonder if there was a procedure (TJ, brace) that may have affected his 2025 numbers at Southern Miss.

We won’t see him in game action until 2026, but today was RHP Jason Woodward’s first day throwing off of the mound since undergoing his second Tommy John surgery last offseason.  He is one of a number of fascinating arms to keep an eye on next year that missed the ‘25 season (Knoth, Galindez, Cortez, Prado, etc.)

Brewers sign 18-year-old 6'3" Dominican Republic native RHP Bryan Regalado and assign him to DSL Brewers Gold. He initially inked his contract May 27th. He'll be making his pro debut when he first takes the mound.

Regalado was activated from the restricted list this week, perhaps as some paperwork wrapped up? We'll likely see his debut in the coming week.

Best news of the Trade Deadline for this Fan! Thanks for the update. Here's hoping the arm holds true this time around. Woodward is straight nasty on the bump.

BUMP:

Fowler was officially assigned to the ACL Brewers yesterday. Hopefully the familiarization process is smooth and he is placed in a full-season pitching staff before season's end.

Anyone have the latest news on Dinges?

Is this a season ending injury?  Will he be back this year?

I have not seen or heard anything, and if there is news it will be updated here typically.

But it seemed like a serious hamstring injury, so I would have suspected at least a month.  The Brewers have become very conservative with injuries (like many teams) opting for full recovery for the players long term, as opposed to getting them back sooner for short terms gains (player and team). So I suspect we will either hear of or see an update in the next few weeks or he may miss the rest of this season.

I would imagine (if healthy) Dinges and a guy like Adams or even Adamczewski, L. Castillo and even Payne could be fall league candidates.

EDIT: I stand corrected as @wiguy94 found a video above - that’s great news. Thank you sir!!

Very good news for the Brewers bullpen depth::

- LHP Rob Zastryzny has been sent on his rehab assignment to the Nashville Sounds by the Milwaukee Brewers

It would appear he has passed all the injury benchmarks to get back out that door. If you recall, Zastryzny was scheduled to head to Nashville in July but had to be held back after some concerning relapses.

Just to clarify, Zastryzny did go on a rehab assignment in July and pitched twice. He was pulled early in his second rehab outing and then returned to the IL from the rehab assignment for I believe re-aggravating the rib injury.

This is correct. We covered it at that time - tho, we didn't exactly get full clarity. I'm just grateful it wasn't longer than this - at the time it felt like it may have been quite severe.

Speaking of which, it was RHP Eric Prado’s turn on Saturday, throwing his first bullpen since Tommy John surgery last fall.

Any updates on Adams? Anyone?

Unfortunately, Adams’ shoulder hasn’t progressed as hoped since his collision back in June.  I spoke with him today and he is still unsure how long he will be out.  It seems as though his season might be in jeopardy.

I've been excited to see what the will do this evening, in advance of the first MiLB off day after the trade deadline.

Curt Hogg beat me to it, but Luis Peña is also headed to Appleton.  Adamczewski will be next up, but I haven’t heard any confirmation of that to this point.
