Just dfa’d by dodgers and former top prospect.   Would be great to add to the catching room especially if we move to Quero and deal Contreras let’s say next off season.  I imagine he gets dealt for a lottery pitcher in rookie or low a ball rather than outright claimed.

Diego Cartaya was just DFA'ed...at 22.

I'd claim him and give him some time...not sure where. I guess AA or AAA as the backup and in the OF?

There will eventually be a time to trade Contreras but we aren't there yet.

It wasn't even a topic of his. Someone else brought up that Cartaya was DFA'd in the Contreras post.

I provide a lot more than Bigred and Turbo.   You guys are aggressively against most any proposal.   You two should be timeout’ed before me.

Id love to see Big Red or Turbo bring up a topic idea of a move the brewers should make on their own rather than ridicule everything someone proposes.   Won’t happen though I reckon….

Yeah...I did. I didn't notice it was moved, but it was in the thread...in which he brings up trading Contreras and I'd guess  

If we can spare the 40 man spot, he'd be worth bringing on...but that was in response to Quero not being a lock at Catcher. I was both advocating Cartaya and agreeing Quero isn't a lock(though...nobody is).

You're confusing a LOT of trade ideas with GOOD trade ideas.

Well we shouldn’t trade Chourio, I’d be open to listening to a “can’t say no” offer someone has for him.   But this Chourio mention you have is hyperbole.    Not happening nor should it.   I’m done arguing with the “holier than thous” though.   Go brew crew.

If we can get Cartaya without a 40 man roster spot I would be all for this. He would be a great backup at AAA or maybe a lead AA catcher.

I think I would even do a 40-man spot. The problem is that I someone will likely trade more than I would be willing to give up for him given that he has one option left and could be two years away from earning a roster spot the whole season.

Hasn't played in the Majors. Would take a chance on bringing in to the organization. Haase is 32.  Quero has the injury issues to protect against. Who's in line behind Quero?

Nobody is trying to come across as aggressive. Brewerfan says it best. It's just that you bring up trade/etc proposals for pretty much every player that's brought up as even a possible trade candidate, and with Milwaukee being a small market, it's not likely that they'd have interest in many of your proposals, for various reasons. Especially $$.

I don't post any trade proposals/rumors, because most rumors are straight up click bait, and I'll talk about trades,etc, if/after they happen.

Looks like Cartaya is going to the Twins for 20yo RHP Jose Vasquez who posted some gaudy K numbers in his second go round in the DSL last summer.
