Cool, just take the ones from the 60's onward and they still have them beat by one.

The 2000's is an odd line in the sand. Don't care. Not any more special. In fact, these are the days of breathing on a QB gets you a personal foul penalty. The game is the easiest it's ever been.

Recency bias really needs to die in a fire. Somebody tell the Yankees they don't really have 27 World Series titles, they actually only have 2.

Actually they don't because I specifically said Super Bowls but I didn't expect anyone to get so worked up about it. Since I also wasn't alive in the 60s I don't care all that much about those either.

Here are the league standings from 1930. https://www.nfl.com/standings/league/1930/REG

I bet that was a real barnburner. The Yankees and the Steam Roller were tough that year...

I think it's fine to hang 13-time champions in the Hall of Fame and atrium and whatever and celebrate that history. I also think it's very silly to equate what Kansas City or New England has done lately to anything GB ever has, because they haven't. The Packers have 2 Super Bowl wins and 3 appearances since 1970. It's better than the majority of the league but nobody in their right mind would put them on a pedestal with what NE did, which has been embarrass the league for the last 20 years at the height of the sport's popularity.

>The game is the easiest it's ever been.

Yeah. OK. Lmao. I am not sure AJ Dillon would get tackled in 1930.

Yeah that's an impossible topic for Mahomes to answer honestly....but then just shut your mouth and say we play to win the game and not to influence officiating calls or something like that.  At this point it's obvious, even to Chiefs fans, that the officials are in Mahomes' and companies' back pockets.

I really hope the NFL fixes this over the offseason by making all 15-yard unsportsmanlike calls for "late hit/blow to the head/unnecessary roughness/etc" reviewable by an official in the booth who can radio down to the head umpire while they are in the process of assessing that penalty to tell him to pick up a bad flag.  I also think there should be the ability for referees to throw an unsportsmanlike conduct flag on a player that's actively trying to draw these type of late hit flags or embellishing contact along the sideline/after a play is finished in hopes to draw a 15 yard penalty.

Because that worked out so well for pass interference calls five years ago, right?

That's a different ballgame...im not saying teams can throw a challenge flag - the amount of time it would take a booth official with a monitor to overturn a terrible personal foul call is equal to the time it takes for officials on the field to state the penalty.

It's gotten bad enough where something needs to change

I'm actually waiting for a defensive player to just say, "Screw it" and just level a quarterback who is clearly now a RUNNER.  Especially when many quarterbacks now do a semi-fake dive and run past the defender who pulled up and gains an extra 5-10 yards (or way more, in some cases).

Way to go, Giants. Sheer genius to let your most dominant player since LT go to play for your most hated rival and lead them to at least a Super Bowl appearance.

That fake punt down 14-3 deep in their own territory was wild, and might end up being the turning point in this game and Commanders season when it’s all said and done if they win.

I don't think I would have went for two there.

Seems like the risk reward isn't great enough at that point.

I tend to agree but this is the new NFL in this day and age. It's a more aggressive game strategy wise. We'll see if it comes back to bite them, but I still feel Saquon is going to take over the game and the Eagles win by two scores.

It’s a crapshoot play anytime anyway with about the exact same expected points per attempt.

Washington is the best of the best at converting 4th and short attempts so if they decided that going for two after every TD throughout the season was the right call, I’d have no reason to disagree.

Well, that evens things out.

Wow, what an incredibly stupid, unwarranted and undisciplined move by Lattimore.

Not exactly out of character for him.
