Believe it or not! Beginning week 12 the Chicago Bears will be in FIRST PLACE of the NFC North Division. Unbelievable !!!

Bet they won’t be there after Week 18.

LOL. I don’t care how effective the tush push is. Going for it on your own 30 on 4th down up 10 to a team you’ve allowed 6 points to all game is incomprehensibly stupid.

Detroit still can’t do anything though, so probably won’t cost them.

I watch Nick Sirianni make numerous tactical blunders and remember he got a ring, which makes me something like .02% less mad at Matt LaFleur. Which I guess is something...

Yeah. It’s weird. Ned Yost and Mike McCarthy are generally considered to be incompetent buffoons by Wisconsin sports fans.

But. They both got rings.

I think for Yost and McCarthy, it boils down to their appearance and personalities. They came off as kind of bumbling in the media at times, and that made it easier (especially for casuals) to denounce them as old-fashioned and empty-headed, which was never a fair assessment. I think one can agree with their firing (which I did and still do) while also recognizing that they were solid coaches/managers. Messages just get stale, and both people and organizations need resets.

Right. Barring him really figuring things out the rest of the way, I think that’s kind of the situation we’re looking at here.

Yeah, I hope not, but hope is pretty much all I have at this point. MLF would really be helped by either much improved line play or one of the ten thousand pass catchers we drafted in the last ten years actually making good on whatever promise they have. I'm not really holding out hope for either of those things, just like I don't expect him to suddenly make all the right in-game decision or dramatically shake up his play calls to accurately reflect his roster's strengths. But he actually did the latter at least once in his career (2023), which at least proves it can happen. Guess we'll see.

Man, wasn’t rooting for Detroit but what a weak PI call to end the game. Just ridiculous to end a game like that.

Yeah that was Chiefs level stuff

Not punting the ball from your own 30 up by 10 was incredibly stupid.

Obviously the Lions schedule is far easier than the Bears.  Of their remaining 7 games two are against teams well below .500 and one against the Vikings.  They should finish ahead of both the Bears and Packers by at least one game or more.

Giants trying to screw this game up.  3rd and goal lions seemed to get away with an early jump on defense, but the announcers never talked about it even with a non commercial timeout to talk.  Then giants after losing 3 yards go for it on 4th and goal at the 5.  Obviously the td would have been huge, I think kicking the fg would have been valuable as well to take away the fg.

You almost never want to kick a FG to go up 6 late.  It forces the other team to try for a TD to win instead of taking a FG to go to OT.

That's not going to get it done.

Mission accomplished.

Another double digit 4th quarter lead blown by the Giants. Please pull it out in OT.

Or just give up a 69 yard TD run on the first play to put yourself behind the 8 ball.

The hopeful side of me wants to say this sets the giants up to drive down and go for 2 for the win, but its the giants so we know that's not happening.  Really wish they had a better plan to end regulation when they had all their timeouts.

Regardless of what happens, this Lions team doesn't scare me at all. It'll take a nice effort to win, but very possible.

Eagles look like they're going to dog walk the Cowboys early, go into cruise control, let them hang around all game and before you know it, we have a tie game.
