Anybody who thinks these bats are our problem is crazy. And I'm not saying you or anybody really thinks that. I see Hoskins ordered some. I suspect it will do him not one bit of good.

But could it hurt....?

I am alarmed by the state of this team. You get what you pay for and this organization has been playing above it's head for awhile now. Maybe a bad year is needed to make ownership step up.

Who does everybody think is now the best play-by-play guy in MLB radio right now?

If he’s still in the game, Jon Miller with the Giants.

You mean the MLB needs to step up!

Why should Mark A. have to go in severe debt when the Yankees, Dodgers, Mets, Cubs, etc. don't have to go in debt to retain/sign stars?

MLB cares about one thing: “ how much money are we making and how can we make more of it.”

Competitive balance is only something they care about to the extent that it interferes with their ability to make more money.

William Contreras, you are a Yankee.

Yup, we're gonna be sellers.  Contreras is the only guy other than Turang another team will give us a decent return on.

I hear ya'!

That's why fans/owners/etc. need to shut the whole thing down until the league becomes fair!  It's a joke right now, and has been for far too long.

Boycott the MLB!

The Big Leagues are the Rig Leagues.

Make MLB fair again.

An injection of capital into the mlb roster. If you are declining 5 million dollars options on starting pitching you are not playing the same game as others.

Percentage varies a little depending on what source you use, but all of the teams you listed spend roughly 60% or more of their revenue on salaries.  The Mets over 80.  The Brewers are around 41 percent of revenue on salaries….
