Both Capra and Dunn with outs in the 9th. Gotta love those 3rd basemen.

These two are looking more and more like DFA material each day.

I say this as gently as possible and with genuine curiousity - I wonder what kind of 3rd baseman we could have gotten for Yophery + the pick + the PTBNL?

Probably someone like Tyler Black? 🙂🤷‍♂️

So what is it then a 3rd base problem or pitching, 1st base?

Or something else.?

This should be a condensed topic instead of random posts every play, threw out hundred's.

Give solutions only: bench, trades, minors, etc.

Would All Star Jose Ramirez even make a difference batting .250 this year and .280 career?

Hello!  I would like Ernesto Martinez at 1st.

Exactly. If they were fine with overpaying for a player, it should've been for Coby Mayo.

The Orioles are not trading Mayo unless you are willing to give up your top 5 prospects and those top 5 prospects all need to be in the top 100 with 3 of them being in the 10-25 range and the final two being in the 50-75 range.  It is not happening.

Mayo hit 098/196/098 (-6 wRC+) with a 47.8 K% in 46 MLB PAs last year.

He followed that up by hitting 190/239/262 (29 wRC+) in 46 spring training PAs.

His first 50 PAs at AAA this year are 190/280/310 (66 wRC+).

Small samples all around, but dude is pretty much living on name value alone until he starts hitting again.

Probably something just a little bit better than Dunn and Capra.  Probably someone like India but with more team control.

If Durbin can't play 3B he is kind of useless on this Brewers team. Their plan must have been Ortiz at 3B, Turang at SS and Durbin at 2B before Turang stated having issues. Durbin is just another Tyler Black with Turang set at 2B for years to come.

I don't know if that was the plan all along, but at some point they had to be contemplating that. And I'm totally against Turang moving off 2B. So yeah, if Durbin is limited to 2B it takes much luster off the deal.

I’m sure they could get Kris Bryant for just the PTBNL
