Wilken is not the answer anytime soon

Once again this year he’s hitting under .200 … in AA … not anywhere close to being ready to compete in MLB

He isn't the only option.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

That's the difference in Chourio being counted on to be THE guy vs. PCA needing to be A guy.

As of today … PCA is a far better player than our young Chourio … as much as it hurts to type those words

Give the idiots credit. Talking to a Cubs fan on a plane, he said so many more Brewers fans in Wrigley last few years. Nothing like this though.  60-70%?

I don’t see why it’s embarrassing. They have a market several times bigger than the Brewers and their fans have an opportunity to see their team in a much more convenient and comfortable setting than going to Wrigley.

As far as I’m concerned anybody who isn’t at the game has no right to complain about people who aren’t willing to spend their time and money to sit in an environment that isn’t any fun.

If there’s anything that’s embarrassing, it’s that 2025 will be the first time since 2017 that the Cubs, despite their huge financial advantage, will finish ahead of the Brewers in a full regular season.

I'm going to jump in and start the official first "we need new hitting coach"  post

Yelich looking really ugly up there. It won’t last forever but really hurts the team.

Ortiz should be in triple A but they didn’t hedge for that at all.  Capra is wasting space in the organization.

Durbin isn’t a third baseman.

We can wait for Boeve and Pratt, and longer term Made and Pena, but it didn’t line up well for this year.

I won’t be surprised if Peralta is moved for a power bat.

It is what it is, this team isn’t good enough and the timing is out of synch with the promising minor leaguers on the way.

Quintana gave him a fastball up. And another.

The pro's pro is making mistakes.

Quintana picked a bad game to suck. Hopefully he'll come back next turn.

The amount of Cubs fans in Am Fam is embarrassing.  Doesn't help that the Cubs are taking the Brewers to the woodshed either.

The number of Cubs fans have been dominating the Brewers fans just like their team does.  If I were in Wisconsin I wouldn't go to a Cubs game in Milwaukee for all the tea on China.

Suzuki  9           Chourio.    6

Tucker  9           Yelich        5

PCA      9            Hoskins     4

Kelly     7            Contreras  3

Busch    6           Turang       3

Cubs top 5 HR batters vs. Brewers. Anyone who believed the Brewers were going to have a better record than the Cubs were obviously dreaming. The next several years the Counsell & the Cubs are going to kick the Brewers arse.

Yelich is 0 for 15

It's embarrassing to watch. He's rolling over on just about everything and swinging as if he's guessing on every pitch. Brewers are stuck with him for 3 more years. Poor Murphy, he's got little he can do with what Arnold gave him and nothing in the minors to help the offense.

Unless they get bit by the injury bug they're going to lap the field in the division this year.

I'm guessing at least 10 games in front of everyone and maybe 20.

Murphy's bullpen management was not good last year but it has regressed to absolutely horrific this season. Call up a long reliever today to replace Yoho and instead you burn leverage arms and middle relief arms down 6-2.

M-L-B--> Making-Life-Bad for small markets!

Way to go Rob Manfred and Players Union!

Way to ruin a professional sport!

Historically it has been this way for decades.

Small markets have been getting screwed by this league forever.  I don't see that changing ant time soon either.  Why would the haves want to help the have- nots?

He isn't a good manager.  I said it last year and I'll say it again this year.

For anyone interested in these are the hitting coaches for the Cubs.

It's arguable whether hitting coaches really help that much, but whatever we're doing now ain't working.

I still say we have far too much movement in the box for far too many of our hitters.

Feet are moving around and heads are moving around.

Like I've said in past GDTs he doesn't have much to work with.  Plus the "stars" aren't producing either.

His decision making isn't good regardless.
