Brett Wichrowski is listed as the Bikoxi starter.

Great to see his name - wow. Hope KC Hunt is ok, maybe he will piggyback for this start??

As of last night, today’s 4 scheduled starters (CF-Rod, Hunt, Flores, Torres) were all going to operate on 4 days’ rest, which was a bit scary since Manuel Rodriguez did the same thing last week and injured an oblique.

So I’m somewhat relieved that Wichrowski is back and Carolina is rained out:

The AA Shuckers have won 8 of its last 10 games and aim to close out a 5-1 road series win over Columbus today. 22-year old RHP Brett Wichrowski’s last official game was in August 2024. DH/3B Brock Wilken has 5 hits, 5 walks and 5 RBIs in his last 3 games.

High-A Wisconsin needs a home win this afternoon over West Michigan to salvage a 3-3 series draw. 20-year old LHP Anthony Flores (5.40 ERA, 15 Ks in 15 IP) makes his 2nd start (6th appearance). The team’s .303 OBP is their Achilles heal, but don’t blame SS Jadher Areinamo (.372), 1B Blake Burke (.368) or C Matt Wood (.368).

23-year old RHP Carlos F. Rodriguez (1.26 ERA, 1.19 WHIP, 11.3 K/9 in 28.2 IP) makes his 3rd start in 11 days for Nashville, as they look to polish off a 5-2 series win at Gwinnett. 2B Anthony Seigler has lifted his OBP to .400 and OPS to .805 in his first season of AAA ball.

No doubter by Wilken. 2 run homer to left. 3–0 Shuckers.

After a Adams HBP (what else lol)

I don’t know if the process is repeatable at higher levels, but by day’s end he might be the Southern League’s second most valuable hitter this season.

Carlos Rodriguez the pitcher has surrendered a pair of runs on three singles, two doubles and a walk over the first four frames.

He has just now retired his nombre hermano Carlos Rodriguez the outfielder however for the third time here to open the fifth, so he has that going for him anyway.

Yeah I was going to ask……so much of his obp is walk dependent…….seems to have done it pretty much his whole.e career.

Biloxi has scored 6 runs for the 12 th time this season. Last year, all season they did that 35 times (by my count). The offense is definitely a step up from last years team where a 2 run deficit seemed insurmountable.

Seigler & Herron singled, then pulled off the double steal before coming around to score on a Monasterio single to tie it up at 2-2.

Carlos Rodriguez the pitcher has gone up nine down since a leadoff single in the 4th, still only at 67 pitches.

And he gets through the 6th with just 7 pitches. Sounds tied it up in the top of 6. 2-2 game. Rodriguez looks to be cruising per the box score right now - 9 straight retired on just 27ish pitches (I may have lost count but between 25-30 to cover 3 innings after the lead off single in the 4th).

TRats down 2-0 early.

Stievn Cruz in for Wichrowski who went 3 scoreless (4 K, but 4 BB, only 1 H)

Luke Adams was plunked for a second time, stayed in the game to run the bases and play the field for a half inning, but Bladimir Restituyo pinch hit for him his next time up.

Adams was pinch hit for. Couldn’t go back on the feed to hear of there was a reason. He did have a HBp earlier but was in the field for a couple of innings I think. If anyone was watching the Shuckers game lol I’ve - any insight?

EDiT - looks like sveumrules beat me to the punch …. Again

Hudson looking for confidence in AAA. Gives up a single. Then two outs.
unfortunately old friends (and former farmhands) Carlos Rodriguez and Garrett Cooper single around a Leonard double. And it’s 5-2 Stripers now. Dang it

Yerlin Rodriguez summoned with two on two out in the fourth trying to keep the Wisco deficit at 2-0.

RBI single makes it 3-0 but they get the trail runner at 3B to end the inning.

Yerlin time for TRats.

Two on, two out in the 4th.  Trying to get him back on track after a disastrous game Tuesday night.
Furst pitch not close. Gets a foul and a single, but the throw gets to third in time? That’s what was called. Looks like safe, but they escape the jam. But a run scores so down 3-0.
