Pretty much every sport has evolved in the name of player safety over the last 25-30 years.

Wasn’t that many years ago when you’d watch an NFL game and hear the phrase, “Oh, he just got his bell rung, he’ll be back out there.”

Sir, he literally sustained a brain injury.

Brutal luck game for Priester.  Easily could've been 0 runs given up.   Did all he could today, good bounce back from last game

Nah, it's good that those are out of the game.

Do any of the towns where you guys live have the “Fun, Fair, & Positive” sports leagues for little kids - where everyone gets a trophy & winning / losing is not emphasized?

It is sad to me that baseball is “soft” today … injuries happen … with or without contact plays.

I know the runs weren’t technically Priester’s fault, but he couldn’t find the strike zone at all and they really helped him out. He was lucky to get out of that inning only down 3-0.

And Priester's lost it.

That happened before the game today … in his previous outings

He needs to be in Nashville to keep developing

He is not currently major a league pitcher

Ehh, I can’t blame the unearned runs on him but he looked cooked that inning. He was nowhere near the zone.

Agreed, very bad defense behind him today. Capra is just awful. Probably one of the worst starters/fringe roster guys in the entire league. Completely over trotting him out there.

The lineup the Brewers have out there today would lose 100 games.

Before the season I predicted 94 wins because I couldn’t fathom us standing pat at SS and 3rd, if they run these same guys out there all year, feels like a 80-84 win team.

With today’s starting lineup, it looks like Murphy was happy with a series win & not that interested in a sweep

We don’t have a good enough squad to “hope things work out”

Once again, our defense underperforms

Part of the problem is putting Durbin at 3rd base - he simply is not capable of playing good defense there

He's what we have at the moment.

Not having anyone in the organization that they deem an upgrade over him is insanity. He’s not an MLB player. He never has been. It’s not like he’s a scuffling player who has had success elsewhere.

He’s what we have on the 26-man roster by choice of management. There are capable AAA starters in Nashville.

We also didn’t realize that Contreras would be playing with an injury that would turn him into an average hitter.

And while Yelich was a question mark because of his back surgery, there was at least reason to hope he could be something close to what he was when he was able to play last year. Unfortunately he is a pretty big hole in the middle of the order.

Who would that be?
