If Patrick is going to pitch like this I'm fine with Woodruff being a Timber Rattler.

They can't demote Patrick if he's pitching like this, they just can't.*

*I'm fully aware they can, but they shouldn't

Man Durbin wasn’t even close to beating that out. His speed has been a disappointment.

Yeah, that's a grounder that has to be beat out. Cost us a run.

Sorry, he has just been a disappointment. That double play plus bad fielding combo he just performed is loser’s play.

It's all relative.  If Capra and/or Dunn are the "replacement level" player then I'll take Durbin all day everyday...

In order for Ortiz to justify his spot he needs to be Ozzie Smith

I did a quick calculation.     There are literally one billion people who have played baseball in the world.    There are 30 starting shortstops in the major leagues.     I find it absurd that a mlb team can’t find a player that can play defense and actually hit a baseball at the same time

it’s definitely a skill but it cant be harder to find than a brain surgeon    It just can’t be

I'm about 99.99% sure that you're wrong.  I'm not a medical doctor BUT I was in medical school for 5 years (true story).  Also played SS in HS.

I will take him every day of the week over those 2 guys.

He still has been a disappointment - especially his speed.

I would guess the Brewers could call up Made and he would hit 200 and play decent D. Mlb is the only sport where teams just don't play the best players because they want to see them come through the system. Imagine the Bucks drafting Giannis at 18 and sticking him in the minors for 4-5 years. It's a different game sure but the Brewers start every game with roughly 4 automatic outs. 23 chances a game is much different than 27.

Bring back those old mfing scouts in moneyball.   They will find us something

Wish our pbp guy could judge fly balls. Made it sound like a no doubter and it wasn't even a hr.

Chourio just barely missing tonight.  That last one if he is able to center a bit more on the ball that is an extra base hit.

It would be nice if Chourio saw more than 1 pitch an ab

When you get two pitches over the plate watching one doesn’t really do anything.  Great you are down 0-1 and now you may not get a better pitch to swing at.  Watching just to get more than 1 pitch an ab is just dumb.

He's been getting pitches right down the middle and has been on all of them. Not sure why you'd want him taking those.

We don't know that. He didn't get a hit so perhaps he might have gotten an even better pitch to hit. Swinging at the first pitch every ab isn't a great plan but hey he's hitting 250 so.....
