Relax, it’s 8-2 and he’s not injured. Alllll good. No harm

Right, love the second guessing after he gives up the homer. Never change Bfan game thread.

I get the kid has a perfecto going After a four pitch walk, with a guy with notorious control issues why wasn't he pulled. Get Koenig/Mears in to finnish the inning.

Bad managing

Bad managing (in game decision making) is consistent for Murphy

Nothing he does surprises me any more

Murph pissed away a possible no-no. Sure we won't lose the game unles the bullpen explodes spectacularly but it was a stupid move

Most people were saying he should not have even started the inning lmao

I mean he had a perfect game going, he was going back out there.

He wasn't going to finish the game regardless.  It was a stupid decision and served no purpose letting him go back out there.  Had his pitch count been lower, and there was even a remote shot at a perfect game, then fine, but that wasn't the case.

On the one hand, he lost the chance to set the all time record for hitless innings to start your career.

On the other hand, he doesn't have to think about that record for the next 4 days. A lot less pressure on his next start.

The question now is he here to stay? I'm guessing yeah but if Woodruff or someone comes back i don't trust the Brewers to make the right call.

Now you're worried about a 7th inning combined no hitter? lmao

Combined no nos are meaningless.

Let’s not lose our heads. Of course the stays in the Bigs.

He is still on an innings limit regardless of Woodruff or if anyone else comes back.  Once he hits that limit that is it.  He will go down to manage his innings at some point.  It is why Henderson went back down.

After what they did with Civale I don't know why there would be much doubt with Miz. Patrick is a different story though

There should be zero reason for Mis to throw another pitch in the minors the rest of his career unless he is rehabbing from an injury.  Innings management, whatever - then let him pitch those innings in the majors and not waste them in AAA

If Woody is ready and is a better option than one of the other brewer starters, you make another trade to make room and Mis stays in the rotation.

I can give you that … but he should have been pulled after the walk
