The real market inefficiency we are taking advantage of is the Polish.

How many Poles does it take to fill a starting rotation?

Couple two tree should do 'er.

But all jokes aside, it beats working at the submarine screen door factory.

Island Updates...

DSL Gold trailing 8-4 top nine. Francis Sosa has provided most of the offense with a single and three run homer. Matthew Moses has also doubled. Christopher Peralta went 4 IP | 2 R | 3 H | 1 BB | 7 K.

DSL Blue tied 2-2 bottom seven. Diustin Mayorquin started things off with 5 IP | 1 ER | 5 H | 1 BB | 6 K and Steve Duran has followed with 1.2 scoreless IP of 1 H | 3 K work. Frandy Lafond has a double and RBI while three batters (Brailyn Antunez, Jefer Lista, and Joan Gutierrez) have each walked twice with Gutierrez stealing a pair of bags too.

Love to see it.

Fun coincidence that Tobias has 1 walk out of 137 batters faced so far and 1/137 is apparently known as the Fine-Structure Constant in physics, quantifying the strength of electromagnetic interaction between elementary charged particles....so he's got that going for him.

CF Blake Perkins (after 7 games in the ACL) joins AAA Nashville to advance his rehab, while LHP Josh Maciejewski looks to replicate his last start (4 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 BB, 4 Ks), as the AAA Sounds aim for a 3-1 series lead at Jacksonville.

22-year old RHP Travis Smith (3.57 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 6.2 K/9 in 45.1 IP) is making his 14th start for Low-A Carolina, still looking for his first professional Win and a 3-1 series lead at Delmarva. Newly-promoted 18-year old LF Pedro Ibarguen (.876 OPS in 106 ACL PAs) makes his full season affiliate debut.

Also 22 years old, RHP Brett Wichrowski (2.88 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, 7.6 K/9 in 34.1 IP) is making his 10th start of 2025, still looking for his first Win of the season. AA Biloxi needs a win at Columbus to even the series 2-2. 3B Zavier Warren has a 5-game hitting streak.

High-A Wisconsin hosts Quad Cities, but trails this highly-competitive series 2 games to 1. RHP Ryan Birchard (4.22 ERA, 1.54 WHIP, 10.8 K/9 in 53.1 IP) gets the start and SS Jadher Areinamo looks to extend his hitting streak to 15 games. We hope that Manager Estevez is feeling better.

Jesus Made had a game-opening opposite field single, later scoring on a Filippo Di Turi sac fly. 1-0 Mudcats in the 1st.

Blake Perkins K’d on 3 pitches to start the game and Josh Maciejewski gave up 3 straight singles and a homer, but one out on the bases (Jared Oliva assist) means it was only a 3-run blast. Nashville trails 3-0.

Biloxi needs to convert the chances they get:

- 1st inning Boeve double and Pratt single with 1-out produce nothing
- 2nd inning Miller and Adam Hall singles give them 2-on, nobody out

CONVERT! - Nope. K, K, groundout

Watching this Shuckers game...the moustache epidemic has to end, they aren't for everyone.  When will the mutton chop have its day in the sun?

Nashville and The Muddies getting smoked. Yowza. Nash still No Hit in the 7th trailing 12-0. Outhit 14-0. I do believe we would classify this as a 'walloping'.

Shuckers win again.  Not a lot of runs, but did get some hits. And pitching looked great based on stats. Wichrowski went effective and efficient 6 IP with 2H, 1BB, 6K and 0 runs on 72 pitches.

Then Fitzpatrick, Peek and Bowman look good getting the last 9 out. Only a walk by Peek, but they all looked good. Biloxi continues to do well despite massive injury hits the past 2 weeks.

Nashville gettin no-hit. No.

After a triple by Nicasia, Hedbert gets a hit through the drawn in infield.

Areinamo walks, and Dinges goes down 0-2 and gets a flair to shallow left and it's 3-1, Areinamo thrown out trying to go to third, but nice hustle by Hedbert to score.

Let's go T-Rats!

Is it me or has Quero not caught in 2 weeks?  Mildly concerning.
