Why is it ok to cherrypick the last few weeks for Ortiz and Durbin while ignoring their season numbers as a whole.

Ortiz is in the wrong swinging 1st pitch bases loaded after consecutive walks before him.  Low 1/3 of the plate is not the pitch to drive, thats the pitch to? GiDP like he did.  Gotta wait for better pitch just have to.

Well Frelick got benched for missing a cut off man in a game. What's the difference. That's the problem Murphy started  where do you draw the line? One mistake is one mistake

If Murphy were to adopt your philosophy, he'd be pulling players out of games every game and the media, fans and even his own players would be wondering if he lost his marbles. I believe Frelick was playing poorly at the time and missing the cutoff man was just a last straw. BTW, what do you mean about benching a player? Pulling him out of the game or sitting him for an extended period of time? If it's the latter, who replaces Ortiz? Monosterio?
