With Arizona idle, I thought I'd give a mini update:

Just got off the horn with a couple birdies in the ACL Complex. The current plan with Adamczewski appears to be 7-innings Friday followed by a back-to-back 9-innings Saturday. Early signs are his body responded well after Game 1. Huge news given what we saw with Peña last night.

Get healthy and stay healthy, young man! I want to watch you in Zebulon come Playoff time!

Five perfect innings for 17-year-old Colombian RHP Carlos Galindo in his start for DSL Blue today. Hopefully inspires his countryman Jose Quintana tonight.

Another 17-year-old, second baseman Leonard Rijo, was a home run shy of a cycle.

Blue romped, 10-2.

***

Brewers Gold fell 6-3, committing four errors and a passed ball along the way.

Amazing! Not out of the clear yet BUT this would be incredible news! Tentative big sigh of relief.

Headed to First Horizon Park to take in tonight's tilt. Who is Coleman Crow? ... Kindof excited to see Plesac's nephew.

Coleman Crow was the return for Taylor/Houser to the Mets.

First year back from TJ and has 43 IP of 2.51 ERA with 52 K / 8 BB under his belt so far at Biloxi.

His 2.07 FIP is 5th lowest of 712 pitchers with at least 40 IP in the minors this year.

Making his Nashville debut tonight.

22-year old RHP Brett Wichrowski had his best start of 2025 last week (6 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 6 Ks) and seeks to lead AA Biloxi to a 2-1 series lead at Pensacola tonight. DH Ethan Murray has 3 homers in his last 8 games and paces the offense (.508 SLG, .899 OPS in 157 PAs).

Let's just say he was brought off the IL when his XRays came back looking like this:

Despite only pitching 52 innings in the last 26 months due to injury and recovery, 24-year old RHP Coleman Crow (2.51 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, 10.9 K/9 in 43 AA IP) is ready for his AAA debut, as Nashville aims to take a 2-1 home series lead over Memphis (with 3 road games starting tomorrow). DH Andrew Vaughn is giving solid production since joining the club (.870 OPS in 52 PAs despite a .242 BABIP).

After splitting two 1-run games at home against Fayetteville, Low-A Carolina’s RHP Travis Smith (4.50 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, 5.9 K/9 in 50 IP) gets tonight’s start. Although INF Luis Pena is out after yesterday’s painful HBP, DH Reece Walling (.154 AVG, .347 OBP with 48 walks) returns to the lineup for the first time in 9 days.

21-year old RHP Ryan Birchard (3.99 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, 10.6 K/9 in 58.2 IP) gets the start at Beloit for High-A Wisconsin as they strive for a 2-1 series lead (before the teams head to Grand Chute for 3 more games). The offense has fallen to last in the Midwest League in scoring (4.25 runs/game). This is C Victor Torres’ 2nd appearance of 2025.

That is indeed the plan as of today. Things can change in my farming world but I am trying to make it happen.

Maybe the Brewers left Shane Smith unprotected to keep teams off the Coleman Crow scent?  That's the fan fiction happening in my head anyway.

Crow's line looks amazing. Relief outings from Liranzo and Hudson not so much.  Tough year from Hudson. The Brewers always seem to get a great year (or sometimes more) out of a pitcher, but only the very good ones continue this success.  They got an All Star half season from Hudson.  Maybe better days are ahead later this summer or in 2026.

Fine outing by the Carolina 9. No one stat line jumps off the page, but with 6 H and 9 BB divided up everyone got on base, a couple twice and two more (Ordonez and Lameda) both on three times with 1 H and 2BB each.

Travis Smith may have had the best start by stats this season with 6 full innings and 1 R (unearned) and 5 K to 3 BB and 4 hits. Boy it would be so nice if he were to start to come into his own the second half and help out the Mudcats and get his prospect status back on track again.

Latest eight start for Brett Wichrowski. Control is a lot better lately, and he is better than average in terms of generating whiffs(Whiff%/Swstr%). But the strikeouts are low because he struggles to put hitters away.
