I thought this trade was going to suck? We got the entire Heat roster and a ton of picks.

The 2031 and 2033 firsts are unprotected as well. Those could look pretty good.

Agreed. I don't know what Miami had to offer in terms of picks between now and then but the projection of Miami hopefully lands us in a great spot when those picks come due. Long, LONG term health of the team those could be incredible.

It does suck... but on the bright side, we got young talent and the picks may have a bit more value as I'm not seeing a dynamo in Miami with Bam and Giannis.

A lot of defense... they can both score inside. Is Norman Powel and Wiggins going to be their ball handlers?

Now if you can get a couple firsts for Herro, that'd be nice.

Thank goodness this is all over and we can move on. We have a very very good HC and the Giannis drama is done. Excited to see what takes shape tomorrow and the rest of the off-season. Absolutely don't think Horts is done dealing.

4 young players and 3 1st with a swap is a good haul. If we can trade Herro great of not I do like a Rollins, Herro, Jaquez, Ware starting rotation with whatever we get for Turner or draft picks.

I am happy for the return, sad to see Giannis go. I will always root for him to win another ship. I dont think he and Bam work without a top notch outside scoring guard, but I wish him the best.

I read someone propose Turner for Jakob Poetl, Gradey Dick, and a 1st (19 or future pick). I dont like Poetl and his contract but a young shooter and a 1st would be a decent return.

I think I read Jenkins loves Herro and tried to acquire Him while with the Grizzlies? I don't know if any of this is sibstantiated.

Rollins, Herro Jacquez, Ware, and then draft Mara or maybe Steinbach?

Youth, shooting, defense, size. It would be a pretty solid lineup.

My heart hasn’t been invested in this version of the Bucks since they traded Khris last year. I’m looking forward to a new chapter though not sure I have much faith in the ownership and front office to actually pull off a rebuild

Entirely with You. IF they truly are about collaboration (hard to know with Haslam's increasingly large role), I am praying Jenkins has as good an eye at identifying talent as he does working with young talent and he has a Big Voice in the draft room.😅

I do wonder what type of chance Bogoljub has of making this upcoming roster. He had a fantastic season for Mega Basket. He is another very young player in the Mix coming off an ABA MVP season.

I would guess it depends on of we take more players on in a Turner or other trades.

I like the overseas tape I saw off him and would make a spot for him if I could. He seems like a guy who can be a stretch 4 with some upside to be a higher end player if he can continue to develop.

Eh, it's entirely different than what they've been doing.

They've been clinging to trying to acquire another star and chasing a ring.

We don't have much indication of how they can build and I like Jenkins. They haven't had much in the way of meaningful picks.

They did try pretty aggressively to move up for Jalen Williams, but were unable. Hopefully with a Jenkins, they'll develop young talent better and get a couple impact players. I liked Rollins and Deign and... I guess we'll see. I'd imagine they'll draft better without the weight of a ticking clock and very few picks coming up hanging over their head.

I've never been a particular fan, but I do see a little... Reggie Miller in his game(a little)... in the way he gets his shot off, will run a defender through 2-3 back picks and catch and shoot.

We should have 7-8 pretty talented young players on our way to MAYBE a play-in game this year... or not.

It's just a shame as I really think this league is as weak as it's been in a while, but... we were not patient enough.

The chances for us to be a Dynasty were plenty and hard in hindsight, but just one move here or there...
It started with a botched trade with Golden State where we took Monta Ellis and our team Doc didn't clear Steph, then we traded Greivis Vazquez for Normal Powell(the Heat's leading scorer) and then OG Anunoby(or the pick that was used on him). Blowing the Raptors series with Bledsoe, overpaying for Jrue(which was worth it, but cost us). Then the Dame trade was the final nail. Seemed like a good idea at the time though!

The entire Heat roster that was bad last year and picks that will likely be bad.

The move was getting Brown and moving him for more picks.

Also Trent, Harris, Sims, Prince, and Porter have player options (AJax team) that is a lot of roster spots. I would guess Prince, Trent, and Harris pick up there option and deplete some space for Bogoljub.

Glad it's finally over.  He did get us a ring, which I wasn't sure I would ever see.  Will miss him even though it was time for him to go.

Is that likely? 2030, 2031 and 2033.
Giannis will be in his late 36-39 as a player who has an athletic skillset. Plus with the new lottery system, who knows.

It's... a bizarre and convoluted system, especially with the proposed "draft credit system" that could start in 2030, but I don't think this is like Magic going to the Lakers. I don't think we just handed the Heat some dynasty.
I think they now have a future that doesn't look THAT much better than ours to be honest.

Do we think Giannis sells his very small amount of shares of the Brewers?

No. He said he wants to remain in Milwaukee. I also think that was mostly symbolic... and he's going to get a ~280M extension.

I think he'll keep his place and ties in Milwaukee and I think the fans will support him.

Harris already picked up his PO.

Can’t say I’m impressed.  Feels like we could have done a lot better last year, but when everybody knows you must trade Giannis, the going rate goes down.

I believe the Bucks selected the wrong trade.  They could have gotten their picks back by taking the Celtics trade through trading Brown to Portland.

Herro is not a superstar and is more of a really good player.  He wants a max contract so the Bucks have to trade him.  Signing Herro to a max deal would be dumb.  I am fairly confident the rumors are true and he will be going to Detroit.  Unknown on the return.

There were only two options for the Bucks and that was the Heat or the Celtics.  Giannis refused to sign an extension with a Western Conference team.  That killed a possible trade to Minnesota or any other Western Conference team.
