Vaughn actually has 2 more years of team control because he won't get a full season of service time this season. His arb cost might get in the way of him having 2 more years of team control

We have struggled so hard to find a decent 1st baseman and he's a solid defender and so far looks like a good fit.

He was at $5.8M this year and I think the max pay cut you can get in arbitration is 20%. He might be worth a flyer at around $5M
