Woodruff is on pace for a 36 pitch complete game.

I think they'd call that a Woody instead of a Maddux

You start every Brewers game trying to figure out how they can score 4 runs.

It helps when their 2 and 3 hitter aren’t invisible for whole series

That wasn’t a terrible AB by Joey.

That said … I’m ok if they want to find a better option for SS at the deadline. He’s done some good things.

but let’s be honest … he’s the biggest upgrade opportunity in the lineup.. and it’s not really close for a 2nd.

Ortiz profile for me as a high end utility guy who can play all three infield spots. If he's your utility guy you are pretty good.

If Ortiz put up .700 OPS the rest of the way, would that be good enough? Genuinely asking.

I otherwise agree with your points.

Depends on what the alternative is. That’s a lot better than what we’ve gotten from him so far, and a lot worse than what we could get from some potential trade candidates.

If Joey puts up a .700+ OPS the rest of the way I don't think there is an upgrade that would be available that wouldn't significantly downgrade the defense, which would likely end up being a net negative--especially considering that they would have to give up value to get that likely downgrade. Now if Joey goes back to OPSing ,500 then sure we could upgrade.

Yeli is at the point in his career where he can really cook if he’s on but when he’s off it’s really, really ugly.

But no hits for Brewers yet.

Not much on the ol' exit velo today.

At one point the last 3 outs were over 100 mph, but in general, yes. No hitter for Kirby.

Brewers currently lead the NL Central by 1/2 game over the Cubs 🎉💪👏🙌🏆😉

Percentage points ahead of Detroit for sole possession of the best record in baseball.

We're missing Sal on a night like tonight.  Even when he wasn't hitting leadoff it seemed like he was usually the one to get our first hit of the game.
