The only guy who worked more than an inning was Hall…….not sure who you bring up or send down.

I would send down Miz, I think there may be something wrong with his arm.  But that is for medical to decide not me.  I thought there was something odd about him skipping a start and being put on the 15 day injured list. They said he just needed rest and listed it as a tibia contusion but i'm not buying that now.

I’m willing to believe an 88 degree evening with humidity plus nearly three weeks between starts for a 6’7” pitcher with persistent control challenges can cause walks without meaningful medical issue.

97.1 IP last year for Miz

98 IP this season

If Miz is healthy, his workload probably slows from here on out. I’d assume we can keep him in Milwaukee

Six more weeks until playoffs. Maybe Miz can throw 3-4 innings per week and still be available in the pen in October?

Your very optimistic with your assessment but then you say cut his workload so even you don't believe he is 100%.

I'm just saying, by chance Miz having the worst outing of his career yesterday after skipping a start which was odd in the first place is only a flip of a coin that he is A-OK.

For workload, I think it is common to limit a prospect’s innings pitched year over year. For instance, Mark Prior (Cubs) went from 116.2 IP in 2002 then pitched 211.1 IP in 2003 at age 22.

That was probably too many innings for Prior. He was never the same after that season.

Just saying, 54 pitches in 1  1/3 innings is a major red flag.  That's not just an off day.  Limiting his workload now may be an assessment to late.  I just hope Miz was honest with the coaching staff and not saying I'm ok, I'm ok, I'm ok, if he wasn't ok.

Lockridge is basically Garrett Mitchell plus two years, minus the injury problems.  Lockridge might not be quite as good a CF and a touch less power, but it is pretty close.

Lockridge's MiLB numbers: 271/351/418

Mitchell's MiLB numbers: 276/381/426

That's actually pretty surprising.. I would have assumed Mitchell had quite a bit more power than Lockridge.

So does Yelich use the Uecker bat again?  Part of me says use it again tomorrow... we may never lose again.  But I bet he does not use it again or maybe save it for the playoffs.  It should go in the Brewers hall of fame.

I haven’t been paying attention enough to know if the special bats, cleats, etc that are showing up this weekend for “players’ weekend” are normally disallowed. The “Uecker bat” deserves to live on .

You almost have to encase it right now. Imagine when he breaks it? Does the batboy have a Savoy Special ready to go? It’s unthinkable.
