5.0 IP, 2 H, 2 BB, 5 K, 0 R for our Summer Sweetheart RHP Steven Duran.

Perfect timing Brewers PD:

That last change-up at age 17?! (last pitch of entire clip). My word.

This offseason is going to be huge for the lab.

Arizona / Carolina is going to be nuts to start the season.

I feel bad for DSL Red Sox Red. Having to face Steven Duran and Diustin Mayorquin in the same game just isn't fair. Those two combined for a dominant 8 innings today.

Duran - 5 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 5 SO, 2 HBP

Mayorquin - 3 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 6 SO

We saw two long ball firsts in that DSL Brewers Blue 6-1 victory. It was a 3-1 game in the middle innings. Then 2B Jhoanjel Saez and 1B Angel Gonzalez hit their forst long balls of their summers in the bottom of the 8th - not that they needed insurance runs with Mayorquin absolutely dealing. Saez with the solo jack and Gonzalez with a two-run shot. 6-1 Final.

After his roughest outing of the year (6 IP, 7 R, 12 H, 3 BB, 3 Ks), RHP Garrett Stallings seeks a return to his earlier form (2.78 ERA in prior 58.1 IP) and to lead AAA Nashville to a 3-1 series lead at Durham. CF Drew Avans has a 7-game hitting streak.

LHP Wande Torres had his best outing last week (6 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 6 Ks) and seeks to lead Low-A Carolina to a 3-2 series advantage at Fayetteville. C Edgardo Ordonez sees his first game action since July 27.

The AA Shuckers can also take a 3-1 home series lead over Columbus behind red-hot 1B Blake Burke (homered yesterday; 5-game hitting streak) and improving RHP KC Hunt (6 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 0 BB, 4 Ks last week).

The High-A Timber Rattlers lead their home series over Great Lakes 2 games to 1 and look to see what 2B Jesus Made and 3B Andrew Fischer have in store after their 3-hit games yesterday. RHP Sam Garcia (5.22 High-A ERA; 2.08 Low-A ERA) needs a Win to snap his 8-game losing streak.

Looks at scores and see Ethan Workinger hits another HR against Biloxi. That guy loves him Shuckers pitching.

I will have to look up how many of his seasons HRs came against Shuckers pitchers this year...

OK I looked it up - he has 16 on the year, and 9 (yes 9!) against Biloxi. That is insane, over half of them against a team they play a few times a year (this the 4th series of Biloxi v Columbus)

Just wild. Bob Seymour is the other guy I recall just mashing Brewer minor league pitchers, and I'm sure there are others, but Workinger vs the Shuckers it the tonic he needs apparently.

Muddies had tied it up 2-2 in the top of the 4th but Torres Gave up three immediately. Both Mudcats runs have been driven in by Jose Anderson -  solo jack and RBI single scoring Adamczewski. Muddies trail 5-2 as they head to the bottom of the 5th. If they should lose tonight, Fayetteville will pull within 2.0 G. The Fred Nats trailed by 2.0 G entering tonight so are currently alone in 2nd Place.

A lot of offense all around. Sadly most of it against Milwaukee affiliate’s pitching. Yikes

TRats top 3 of the order seem ok don’t they? Rest of that line up - not so much - well Alastre has two hits. Sam Garcia struggled, and really hasn’t hit his stride in high A.

Quero with a nice night. sounds win.  Yoho and Fitzpatrick with scoreless outings that’s good.

Shuckers offense Ok. KC Hunt not so much. One of the few guys who regressed this year that was not injury related. Secretly I am believing the pitching development staff wants him to focus on a few things and he is getting hit because of it and next year he will come out stronger.

Mudcats pitching staff seeing their ERA jump after tonight’s beat down. Muddies not doing so well with the promotions and injuries, and pitching staff of essentially only teenagers. Good learning curve, but gonna make the playoffs a lot harder to make.

DSL kids win - and that karma results in loses at the other affiliates 😟

Baseball gods punishing the minor leaguers for the big club magic.  Wow just wow.

Wheni left work, big club down 8-1, and encouraging starts for TRats, Shuckers and Mudcats.  Since then near total reversals across the board.

Now you see my 'Feeding the baseball Gods' remarks. It is what it is and it is definitely concurrent...which is not the same as causal. I choose the invisible baseball magic with celestial Ueck pulling the strings of the organizational marionettes.

Wow double digit runs against for Carolina, Wisconsin and Biloxi.

welp. See you all tomorrow.

Sounds have won 3-of-4 and Quero is hitting absolute nukes. Huge news for this week.
