Can’t let the whole inning fall apart just because of one single bad non strike call. As long as we still have human umpires, it’s still going to happen. Still gotta buckle down and make pitches.

He threw a good pitch to Cassie and hit a 65 mph EV flyball that dropped in

Taillon throwing a lot of strikes with his offspeed stuff and locating his fastball. He's been fairly sharp the last two innings.

Edit - and what the Brewers have hit, they've hit right at fielders.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Need to make Taillon work this inning and hopefully scratch out a few runs!

Or just, do nothing.

The Brewers have squandered the pitching advantage they had coming into this game. So they’ll have to come up with another way to win this one.

The big hits have not been coming so far in this series.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Woo seemed to really nibble those first couple innings. I know he's struggling with velo early on, but he has been so pitch to contact early on that it's odd on a night like tonight there wasn't more attacking hitters. Probably was trying to just couldn't locate. Between that and Caissie's lucky hit and a bad bounce/poor reaction from Collins, it's frustrating.

On the bright side, it's still very early, and the Cubs have a lot of outs to get. Plus, realistically, we need one of the next couple. Getting it tonight just makes Wednesday and Thursday a chance to really extend.

4 IP, 2 ER with one those earned runs should have been a strikeout

Cubs have gotten the breaks we've been getting for a month or so. That's the way it goes in baseball. More disappointed in the poor ABs in the 3rd and 4th.

Cubs are doing to the Brewers what the Brewers have done to the Cubs.

Also, this seems insane to me that Woodruff is coming back out.
