Tie between Freddy and Brice imo.

No Yelich? 26 HRs and 87 RBIs leads the team by 9 and 20, respectively.. Lots of people on this board have observed that when he's hitting, MKE wins. He's also a leader in the dugout. Ok, so he doesn't play defense much, and he does go into funks where he Ks a lot.

Others have weaknesses too.

Contreras may be the most irreplaceable player with only stopgap-type players behind him, but he went for a long chunk of this season where people wanted him to go on the IL due to his lack of production.

The Brewers have actually thrived without Chourio, so, while valuable, not most valuable

Turang, Frelick, and Collins are all really similar to me - scrappy do-everythings, but more like important cogs in the machine rather than the guy at the top of the opponent's scouting report.

Peralta is great, but often inefficient, putting a strain on the bullpen with his short, but effective outings.

It's Yelich for me.

I agree Yelich should be listed, but DH limits him. Especially when this team is built as heavily as it is on run prevention.

Well, bWAR sort of tells us that it is either a clear 2 man race between Brice and Freddy or that indeed Yelich should be on the poll. I don't follow fWAR as much, mostly because I look at the ESPN stat page a lot and that uses bWAR, but it interesting how big a discrepancy they have on Turang. And it has been a pretty big gap his whole career.

I mentioned to a friend that this team should make t-shirts for all 26 players that say "2025 Brewers Team MVP," because in a way, they all have been. That's why this team has a real chance come October; no one person is responsible for them having the best record in baseball. Plus, everyone having a shirt that said that could be a real camaraderie-type thing too, similar to the friendship ones they have.
