I don't think I can handle the month long turmoil of the season being declared over every 3 days as we oscillate between 4 and 7 games up in the standings.

I don't think you'll have to worry about the Brewers being between 4 and 7 games up in the standings much longer.

What in the world is Durbin thinking? I can see if you pull me for Devers or somebody. You are pulling me for a worse offensive player. You can't tell me Durbin wasn't siked to try and play hero. Then the manager says sit down son. Watch my gut instincts.

I don't think he used his gut instincts, otherwise he would've stuck with Durbin, He used the "by the book" philosophy. Murphy needs to stop overthinking these situations.

That series was a massive change.   You could just see it.   It wasn’t hyperbole.    We should have buried them after that 7-0.

It's always interesting when a team like the Brewers who are smarter than most can't admit failure with a guy. Siegler isn't playing well and it's like Brewers want to outsmart everyone and say but just you wait. I keep hearing how he can catch. Who cares you have Cal Ripken behind the plate. He will never catch an inning here.

This was a disappointing game to blow and not just because it was Bob Uecker day.   Murphy needs his head examined after that asinine PH move but having our closer falling apart is even more concerning.  Two blown saves in this series in a bigger issue that our bats IMO.

Brewers simply need a starter to come out and throw 7 shutout innings. Save the bullpen and give the suddenly ice cold offense some breathing room. 19 in 18 with our starters barely going 5 innings and offense not scoring has our bullpen running on fumes.

Yeah! We think it's fine if a guy can survive 5 innings, and then we rely on the overworked under-talented bullpen, even when the bats are ice cold.

Trade deadline was a chance to really add depth and talent to roster imo. Banking on Jake Bauers coming back is rough. Wait till Murphy starts talking up Rhys.

Murphy is a complete Bozo in tight games

Once again today he over-managed

Arnold can take some blame for not addressing the bottom of the roster

I'm not going to blame Murphy (except maybe for the Seigler/Durbin thing).  We have only the players the front office gives us, and those clods need to show they deserve to be here.  So far they ain't done so.

I refuse to believe it’s a coincidence that our incredibly hot run started when Bauers went on IL and started grinding to a halt when he returned.

The momentum has already shifted. It happened when we didn't take advantage of the opportunity to bury the Cubs this week. Now the better team has all the confidence in the world to pass us up in the standings.

Sad but true.

Turns out it takes more than the power of friendship to make a deep run in the playoffs.

For some reason, people would rather be right about predicting things going badly before predicting they will go well.

Yeah, in the world of sports fandom there are some real case studies, that's for sure. But it takes all kinds.

OK. I'm tried of crying and getting nauseous over this crap-noodle game.  It totally stinked-stank-stunk.  Let's get ready for tomorrow, and I hope there's some soul-searching in the clubhouse after this last bunch of malodorous efforts.

Slipping to the wild card, drawing the Dodgers and getting swept in 2 games would probably be all the motivation I need to give up baseball forever.

I know one thing.   It would be very hard to come back next year.    We won 8,11,14 in a row.   We were up by 7-9 games over all of mlb with 40 games to go.    If you can’t get the bye then what’s the point

and everyone has a damn hamstring.    It’s a freaking joke right now

Murphy knows he screwed up by his mannerisms in the post game. I always ******* at Counsell for putting in relievers like Chafen all the time but Murphy does the same thing except with using the lowest ave hitter on the team to pinch hit.

You had to get a backup infielder or someone decent to take siegler Mona off the roster.    Now they are getting a bunch of at bats

Mona is better than Siegler in my opinion.

I can just imagine what some of the posts look like on here. I'll just bring up something from my college hoops fandom. There have been times when my team is playing a tough game on the road, has a lead, and the home team is making a run. Honestly, my reaction is often along the lines of 'good, it's a character builder. Let's see how they respond.' Different age group, different sport, but there are similarities. The worst thing about today is you used your 8th & ninth inning guys, they were both extended--largely through no fault of their own AFA command is concerned--and lost the game. Outside of the way he worked Adames, who suddenly seems to have some plate discipline, Patrick was pretty good.

I didn't like Jansens' AB with the runner on 2nd & no one out, and while Lockridge is very capable in CF Perkins is elite. You could ask why he wasn't out there late. May or may not have made a difference.
