Let's drive the Snakes into the Great Lakes!

Ed is gonna' sink like lead!

Wood is gonna' float like a butterfly and sting like a bee ...

We're gonna' win by more than three!

The one good thing about not having an off day is being able to flush the day before and getting another shot to win a game.

Yelich had a ripping double and an RBI single yesterday, but the team only scored 3 runs.

The offense has been pretty silent for the last 10 games and it’s going to take more than one or two guys contributing every day.

Yup, that hot streak scoring 8 runs plus over and over can't be expected to continue so coming back to reality was bound to happen.  Also seemed the Cubs series and at least yesterday had lots of hard hits that got caught, which is baseball.   For example, Vaughn had at least 3 well hit balls that were barely caught. I think at least two were runners on too, if one or two of those fall they likely cruise to win.   I think his 4th could be considered hard hit too but it was at the SS so either way just a single (not sure if runners were on)

On paper he had an 0/4, but in reality he hit very well yesterday

AZ is 5th in the WC race as will not be an easy out.

Let's not overlook the 4 game series with them, then Tor & Philly, and you just know the Pirates would luv to come beat us at home.

I'd say .500 ball during that stretch would be hopeful/admirable.

(after that the schedule lightens up some)

Yes, and there was a circus catch in CF by Lee, plus a nice grab by Lee of a sinking liner besides the balls hit by Vaughn. I really don't see a whole lot of difference in the quality of the ABs in the last week compared to earlier; just some of the results. Plate discipline more often than not is still there too.

Short starts recently is a bigger concern of mine, along with the position player group getting healthy & closer to full strength. Unfortunately they're a little behind the 8-ball for a day or two with Uribe & Megill having to extend the pitch counts on Sunday.

I was wondering who would be able to be a long man in the pen tonight if needed, good or bad, and excuse me while I put my injury tin foil hat on.  Now I know not all injuries like this are fake, but Andersons ankle tendinitis feels a little too convenient.

Interesting Brewers lineup. I can't really make sense of the Turang-Frelick flip flopping in the order lately. Also really surprised that Lockridge isn't out there against a LHP after a really strong offensive game yesterday.

for all the talk about workload for our relievers lately, there's not enough talk about position player fatigue.

Yelich and Contreras haven't had a day off in forever, and Frelick maybe one off day off in a while off the top of my head.

I think a broadcast mentioned that it's based on whether the opponent starter is lefty or righty. Even though both Turang and Frelick bat lefty, Murphy prefers one over the other against lefties. I'm too lazy to see how true that is (the reason or the stats to back that up).

Frelick was just hitting leadoff against a LHP yesterday so doesn't seem like that's the reason.

Happens with injuries making bench mob gross.

It’s hard to be confident when:

1. The starter can only go 5 innings at most

2. The bullpen is overworked, and

3. The offense is struggling to scrape out 2 or 3 runs

To beat a high scoring DBacks team the Brewers need to score 5 or more at least a couple of times in this series.
