That throw back to Woodruff was... interesting.  At first I thought Woodruff fired it into the dugout or to the ball boy.  Went back and watched it again and he just tossed it to Contreras who, I'm assuming, threw it away towards the ball boy.

Got me thinking, but nothing to it I'm sure.

He's a bull dog.  Quintana has that too even though he's a different kind of pitcher, and he's pretty near the end now so that sometimes even his guile and competitiveness isn't enough.  Woodruff has some years left in him and while he may never be the pitcher he was before he's going to be effective for a few years on the field and more than that in the clubhouse.  I'm not sure they'll offer him what it will take but it'd be nice to see him here for a while yet.

He’s still hitting the ball hard.   Hoskins is not the type of player for this team.   Plus he really sucks on defense.    Vaughn isn’t great but he’s better in d
