Miz.    Dude.    It’s just hard to get excited when he has a couple of nice innings.    And then comes the three run inning

I wish he'd stop with the skipping and stuff till after he's actually finished in the game.

Move Miz to the bullpen & he can start next year

He’s good for 50 pitches & three innings

Almost all of his issues have been within the first 3 innings...

Yeah I’m not a fan of the skipping at all.

I’ll say it, the Miz hype is over. ERA of around  9 since coming off the IL. Fatigue, maybe a little bit of the league catching up to him. The short starts are going to have a cumulative impact on the pitching staff. Should just move him to the pen or shut him down for the year. Better yet they shouldn’t have made the trade of Cortes for Lockridge. Would be much better having Cortes going 5 and being in Miz like Ashby for multiple innings than have Lockridge coming off the bench once or twice a week

Stuff is way too good to shut him down. My guess is he goes to middle relief in the playoffs and they try to keep it to lower leverage situations.

Or he starts but just goes through the order once.

Could you imaging Murphy coming out to take the ball from him and then skipping to the dugout?

Everyone can defend Miz, but he’s not quite ready to be a big league starting pitcher. Period. Maybe next year.

Well, I meant more like after he finished out an inning, not getting the ball taken from him.

That’s when the show jumps the shark. This whole thing only works when Murph plays it straight. Even when he’s being crazy with pocket snacks and motivational posters, he has to hold down the serious face. Skipping blows it all up.

Are we really going to make hating the skipping a thing?

I love the skipping … reminds me that there is a little boy in all of us … even MLB players

I think Seigler might want to let Collins field that with his momentum bringing him in. I don't know if they have a play at 2nd but it's certainly an easier throw. Looked like Collins was lining up to get it.

I now need to see Murph skip his way to the mound when he removes a guy who gave up 5+ runs

He will be shut down before the playoffs he’s already surpassed his innings pitched in any season as a pro and there’s 5 weeks of regular season games left

Unless he's injured, he will most certainly not be completely shut down before the end of the season
