Seriously?  They need a team meeting just to address relief pitchers walking batters with leads.

Even in this mostly successful (so far) game, they’ve allowed 5 free base runners via walk and HBP. Been an awful lot in this stretch.

The goal of our bullpen seems to be to keep the game exciting.

Everyone is going to get mad at me.   I’m telling you from years of watching baseball you can’t win like this.    You can not be nervous with 6 run leads.    You cannot sustain this for a month.  I would have thrown Peralta another inning

I know strength of schedule can be overblown, but the Cubs are facing one of the worst teams of all time currently. Glad the Giants helped us out because a 5-4 or 6-3 West Coast trip for the Cubs seems inevitable.

Maybe?

But, like, wouldn't you be disappointed with a 5-4 West Coast against the Angels, Giants, and Rockies? Especially when you're probably the second-best team in the NL?

Do you just use Uribe and lock it down or do you try to save those bullets?

Save the bullets

i think.    But who knows at this point.    Maybe just get the win

Definitely agree about giving Freddie a chance to continue.

I as well

It was his second straight inning of being down for nearly 20 minutes. I understand not sending him back out

I get it.   But I’d be fine with Ashby getting about 5 days off.  He’s pretty valuable at this point
