Miz just can't seem to avoid the big inning. It's never about the quality of stuff, or even the walks. He just can't seem to command the ball. He needs to know that it doesn't matter how hard he throws the ball, big leaguers will send it a mile if he keeps throwing it in the middle of the zone.

I've seen enough. Not really sure what to do with Miz at this point but give Gasser a shot in the rotation. Thank goodness for a day off because it's going to be another bullpen plazooza

With the way Miz and Woody have been going lately. does anybody feel comfortable with the starting pitching going into the playoffs?

Honestly not really. Might be Peralta Priester and a bullpen game

Came and got him one hitter too late?  Still better than waiting until it was tied I suppose.

Nobody is going to pull their pitcher after inducing a would be double play ball.

Peralta has been pretty phenomenal. I’m ok with Miz in the playoffs in short 2-3 inning outings. I think you’ll see mostly short outings in the playoffs on less rest.

I'm not quite ready to permanently send Miz to the bullpen, but he's definitely going to have to spend the entire winter in the pitching lab until he figures out how to command the ball. Can't get away with meatballs in the big leagues.

Looking increasingly likely that he'll stay in the rotation until the playoffs (or at least until the Brewers start playing meaningless games).  We'll see I guess, now that they're in a stretch where they will actually have a reasonable number of off days.

We should have kept Aaron Civale!

Bauers has absolutely no business batting in the middle of any lineup, much less a really good one.

That is a fact. Makes zero sense. Frelick hitting 7th. Lol.

FWIW, and it's not worth much, I'm not really worried about the starting pitching in the playoffs at all.  I AM worried about the lineup in the playoffs, which is partly rational and partly a reaction to the fact that the Brewers haven't hit well in the playoffs for years.
