McManus not very impressive tonight.

I like playing for the TD there on 3rd and 4th down. 3 points doesn’t really change this game very much and even if you don’t convert on 4th, the field position advantage is massive.

at this stage of the game, making it take two touchdowns just to tie is a huge swing with how this defense is playing - I understand the "want to" dagger them halfway through the 3rd quarter, but taking those 3 points is huge.

ugh...Packer special teams just always seems to give me the shakes - the Packers are keeping Washington sort of in this game by all their penalties

I definitely kick the FG there to go up 2 touchdowns. You need to get a TD on the first 3 plays.

Have to agree to disagree. I’m almost equally fine being up 14-3 with them having the ball on their own 4 as I am being up 17-3 with them having the ball on their 30, especially for an extra shot at 21-3.

I don’t agree (25 yards of field position in and of itself is worth about 1 expected point). but I do understand taking into consideration the pace and what the opposing offense is doing.

They almost certainly wouldn’t tie anyway. They’d likely go for a 2 on one of the possessions like most teams these days.

??? Now a 3 score game compared to 2.

I gotta say our corners are playing well tonight.

Carrington is jumping out, Nixon is playing the ball... but I think a lot of it is speeding up that QBs clock.

To me you always kick the FG if the FG either extends your lead another possession, or moves you into the zone where the opponent has to score a TD and not a FG.

A 10 or 11pt lead really isn't the same as a 14 or lead when kickers are making 60 yard FGs on a weekly basis. That was a no-brainer imo. You make this offense that hasn't done a thing go down the field for 2 TDs.

I like seeing the OTHER team blow an early timeout that I know they’ll need later.

That had alot to do with Daniels being out of sorts - he almost didn't see Bullard a step too long and he would have gotten destroyed

Second game in a row with a hot start by the offense and then goes to sleep for the rest of the game.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

Go for it and fail and the Commanders may not have even gotten the TD on this next drive. Going 96 yards is a lot different than going 70.

Letting them hang around, hang around, and now here we go, it’s a 1 score game.

Which is why I'm glad we just kicked the FG. Unfortunately we should still be up about 20 right now.

Or go for it and fail and it's 17-14 in about 5 minutes.
