I'm sure I'll end up eating this, but I like Miz here.

If he's on he's a shutdown guy that can cut off contact which has been an issue already. And it's not such a catastrophic thing if he's bad, it's potentially 1-1. It's a calculated risk that pays huge dividends if he looks good. I've said it before but they're going to need meaningful contributions from him if we're making a run.

But IF Miz does well, and learns to perform well under enormous pressure, he may be a big weapon for us going forward.

I’m more concerned at the moment about trying to win a World Series than Miz’s career development.

Its what I was thinking - if miz is all over the place you get another reliever in as fast as you can.  If he is dealing youve got priester and Peralta starting games 3 and 4 regardless of how tonight turns out

I have no idea how Ortiz decides which pitches to swing at.  My god.

Has to be predetermined right?  He’s such a terrible hitter

Going forward in this series and potentially the next two.

I think it's a bad move.

For one ......... 1/3 of the members here will no longer have anything to post about.

You can’t go into 2026 with Ortiz as the everyday SS.

Murphy over thinking and trying to be cute.  If it works, he's a genius, if it doesn't, no one in the media will call him out, so it's all good.

Priester should have started game 2, at home, end of story.

Even if it works it's questionable.

I mean maybe. I just think it’s being undersold how catastrophically this could backfire. Are we forgetting that we can’t just yank him if he walks the first guy on 4 pitches? He has to face 3 batters.
