This team has the talent to be great. But it’s poorly coached on offense and special teams, and that will limit it to being good.

What about the defense? The problem is the coaching staff takes at least 2 quarters to make any adjustments.

This team does not have a killer instinct at all. If they want to show the league they are the Super Bowl contenders they say they are, they have to step on the throat of these inferior teams. They're letting a team that's lost their last three games by scores of 48-10, 28-3 and 37-24 hang around. It's not enough to just win, and they still may not. Thank God Burrow is injured.

That's also an absurd catch by one of the 3 best WR in football.

Get a couple 1st downs and ice this thing, please

Oh absolutely.  It was also D PI.   I wish 29 would slide over and anticipate the ball is going to Chase.   Where has the ball hawk mentality gone?

I really don’’t think it has anything to do with a killer instinct. They don’t have enough quality personnel groups on the D-line, O-line and D-backfield. The offensive line has tremendous trouble pass blocking (and before today the running game mostly due to injuries) even with the 2024 sack leader missing over half the game. Both the D-line and the defensive backs have below average players. The defensive coaching staff hasn’t figured out how to use Parsons and work him into a quality pass rush. MLF has problems with play calling and seems to have little control over his players (when it comes to penalties). Plus it takes forever for the coaching staff to adjust to their opponents in real time.

But the are 3-1-1.

the offense looked much better in the 2nd half  Maybe that had to do with Hendrickson going out. But the defense....eek.

There is still such a lack of identity with this squad...things eventually opened up running the ball, but that doesn't seem like something they can do at will.

I think offensively, they still try doing too many things and it prevents them from getting into a consistent rhythm.  When the defense cant get off the field at times again, that really shows up in the box scores, too.

It all starts up front. If Love gets time to get through his progression,  he's great but if the #1 option is covered and he has to bail or dump it off the offense is going to look really discombobulated.

I will be very interested seekng what things look like once Watson is back on the field - him, Golden and Doubs with Kraft at TE and Jacobs in the backfield could be a dynamic skill position group...assuming the line can block.

Nixon doesn’t ever play the ball.

Nixon plays the ball REALLY well. He's generally not great in man, but... he plays the ball.

I'm skeptical of these CBs, especially in Man, but Nixon has been really good so far this year, but he's made more plays on the ball than any CB we've had outside of Jaire.

Yeah... I'm kinda hoping this is like years in the past where they start clicking later in the game, but... this team is just... missing something.

I'm sure if they had Wyatt, Watson, Reed and Belton, it'd be a blowout, but you're never going to have everyone. It's the NFL.

It kinda reminds me of when Rodgers was playing without Adams.

Also, those bubble screens. They're not working, They need to develop something off of it.

They definitely have the talent, but... they should have won this game far more easily. It was 0-0 and the Packers had ~150 yards to 1 yard.

They dominated the Browns, Cowboys and then the first half vs the Bengals. This team is also better when they're playing with more pace.

It wouldn't kill them to play with pace up a couple scores. Put the Bengals(or any of those teams) in a position where they have to attack, get more aggressive and then let the defense tee off.

It seems like Love and the offense also get too conservative. Teams are playing press man and we're not taking shots vs that(except the one we took with Golden).

This defense is not forcing turnovers at all. It feels less relevant because they've usually won, and because they don't really give the ball away either. But they have 2 interceptions. The first in Week 1 which arguably hit the ground, and the other was a play where they should have knocked the ball down. They're going to have to get better there.

Yeah Nixon has been surprisingly good this year.

I know this has probably been covered but Love sliding when first down wins the game made me furious. Then they followed it up with a throw on 3rd and 2...how many weeks in a row are we going keep team in games with these mental/coaching mistakes late in games? Count me as one who was shocked we actually made the FG. It's like we just can't execute once we are in position to win.

It was a much needed win and maybe it was just a hangover from the Brewer win but I was about as unexcited after a Packer win as I can remember, didn't even feel like listening to postgame radio.

Yeah mental fart from Love.

I didn't mind the pass but I'd rather they spread the formation. I don't know if it was an RPO but if not that was dumb.
