Stop it - There's still 4 games left

I think it's you who sees the sad face of a Cubs fan when you look in the mirror.

It wasn't actually. The point was that that loud crowd was stymied by lousy play, which it was. Two guys who were there took offense and were posting during the game, which should tell you what you need to know about the atmosphere.

Some serious revisionist history here that would be simply revealed by a review of that exchange on Tuesday's game thread.

You said that the crowd was "like a library" in both games and that fans weren't standing enough. I didn't take offense with that statement or, to use your words, "have my little feelings hurt", but I did offer my perspective from actually being at Monday's game, not sitting on my couch at home. And I made those comments during Tuesday's game, which I was not at. I didn't post anything on Monday's game thread until I got home

Just accept the fact that you made some statements and others with first hand observations refuted them.

My God dude. You really can't accept the fact that the home team's fans were more roused in a game they were winning and cranking out home runs, than they were during a game where they didn't hit a ball out of the infield until the 9th inning.

Do you not see the hilarity in both of you showing up here during the game you were allegedly at, to post here about how great the crowd was? I know that when I'm at AmFam and the place is rocking, the first thing I do is whip out my phone and log on to BF!

Go load the stream in innings 2-8 and take a look at the fans behind the plate. Tell me what they're doing.

I can't make it any more clear: The Brewers play itself sucked the life out of the stadium. There was very little home field advantage after the first inning in either game. It's OK - it's not an attack on you, or the kind of fan you are, even though you seem hell-bent on categorizing any fan who didn't attend the game as beneath you.

6-year SSH and I was at Game 6 and Game 7 of the two prior NLCS. However, unlike you, I don't think that makes me a better fan than someone who doesn't want to buy a ticket for any of about a million legitimate reasons. The fans had their energy sucked out both games, by Marcum and Yasiel Puig. It was the same thing after those moments. Sitting around praying something would happen, with the excitement sucked out of the building. It's completely baffling to me why you're taking that so incredibly personally.

I think only scoring 3 runs in 27 innings would suck the life out of any fan.

Correct. It was not some admonishment of Brewers fans. You have to give them something to cheer.

Actually, I corrected my post because it was worse than what I posted at first.

One thing that really surprised me is how much they pushed Miz this year and how much he responded late. 142 innings (minors plus majors, including playoffs) was a huge increase for him, I think 98 was his last year.

So he’s definitely a big part of their plans in 2026 and I’m sure they plan to stretch him out further.

I sadly don’t expect Woodruff back, but hope to be wrong.

Peralta could go either way, I can see a trade if the offer is right or I can see him staying for his last year.

Quintana being back would be nice. There will be probably be some veteran scrap heap/reclamation project regardless like him, Miley, etc.

So his next step is to see Christian Watson’s hamstring doctor who can help redirect his ailments to his ACL.

Quite a bit to unpack here on your latest rants on this subject:

First, did you even read my posts before you responded? You keep talking about posting on the board during a game I was "allegedly" at. I have said multiple times that I was at MONDAY's game and was commenting on the crowd at that game during TUESDAY's game. Are you saying that I am lying and really didn't go to the game on Monday.?

Second, where have I tried to say that any fan who wasn't at a game is "beneath me" as a fan. I do think it should be obvious that if you are looking for opinions on the atmosphere at the stadium you should rely more on somebody who is actually there rather than someone who is basing their opinion on the behavior of the small group of fans sitting in the box seats right behind home plate. A lot of people in the highest price seats are not likely to be the most lively fans.

Finally, I have never said that a crowd isn't going to be more energized when the home team is providing a lot of positive plays. Saying there was little home field advantage after the first inning of either game, especially Monday's game, is simply, factually wrong. As I have said, it would have been even more raucous if the Brewers had put together some offense. But, it was hardly a "library" atmosphere after the bizarre DP that ended the top of the fourth and the DP that ended the top of the fifth.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

This is an awful take IMO. Mitchell has been chronically injured for multiple seasons, including his time in the minors. Jackson has next to no injury history, prior to this hamstring, and probably came back too soon just because of the playoffs. At this point there is no reason to think he is an injury prone player.

Except that during Monday's game, when the score was 0-0 for 5 innings. and 1-0 for the next 3 innings the life was not sucked out of the crowd.

There was plenty of life in the crowd when the Brewers had the tying and winning runs in scoring position in the 9th inning.

At that time the second and third games of the series were not a factor.

Its an awful take with next to no injury history because Chourio is only 21 years old,  Wait until Jackson is the ripe old age of Mitchell, 27 it will be just as long. Also, reoccurring injuries only get worse with age so he's off to a bad start.

Man it’s crazy that Mitchell is 27.

Brian Anderson sure loves those Dodgers!

This front-runner cannot be the Brewers TV guy anymore, please!

Agreed.

It's adding insult to injury that with it being bad enough the Brewers are on the brink of elimination, our own TV play by play guy is creaming his pants with every great thing the Dodgers do this series.
