Some more positive news to share with our community- Cairone has been out of the hospital since last Saturday and is recovering/rehabbing at home.  All things considered, it is an outstanding development for the young man.

I will add that, at this point, with his condition now stable, this will likely be my last update until I have something baseball-related on the talented southpaw to share.  I hope and pray that day comes, and eagerly await the opportunity to share a much more lighthearted baseball update someday.

The fact he is HOME rehabbing this soon is absolutely incredible news. We've come a long way since the early event AI produced articles and it is glorious. Let's hope this ultimately tuns into an incredibly inspirational story of resilience and overcoming the odds when he makes his first pitch as a Wilson Warbird some time in the next two years! I'm holding out this hope and with the acknowledgment it is a one day at a time likely scenario right now.. Thank you, friend.

Whenever that debut if its within driving distance, I'll try my best to be there to cover it.

It’s probably nice he has a goal to shoot for after this. Can’t imagine I’d be as dedicated if I was just working towards sitting at a desk again.

This is not a drill folks: LHP Frank Cairone began making some very light tosses today and, in doing so, many prayers have been answered for the young man!

Milwaukee Brewers pitching prospect Frank Cairone posted an Instagram story of him throwing a ball just a month after being involved in a serious vehicle collision that left him hospitalized.

The 18-year-old left-hander, who was a second-round draft choice by the Crew last summer, was involved in a two-vehicle collision Jan. 3 late at night in Franklin, N.J., and flown to an Atlantic City, N.J., hospital. According to police, Cairone was the driver of a vehicle that was hit by another vehicle that blew through a stop sign

In the Instagram update, Cairone is in sweats and a baseball cap and slowly throws a yellow ball against a wall. While that is certainly a terrific sign for Cairone, it is unknown whether he will report to spring training, let alone pitch this season, as he continues to recover from the serious injuries he sustained. A passenger in Cairone's vehicle was also hospitalized with leg injuries.

Cairone, a 6-foot-2, 195-pounder, was the 68th overall pick in the 2025 draft out of Delsea Regional High School and turned down a commitment from Coastal Carolina to sign with the Brewers for a $1.1 million signing bonus. He did not pitch for any Brewers affiliate, instead working out in Arizona in anticipation of making his professional debut in 2026.

I mean this is nothing short of a Baseball miracle. I am speechless and so happy for Frank, his family, and his close friends.

6 days between those two videos. Pretty incredible. I'm not going to assume he will pitch professionally this year but I think he's definitely going to be back in Maryvale this year training with the Brewers.

Tremendous news.  Pulling very hard for this young man. Only 19.  Very scary thing to go through at a tender age.  As a parent, I can say I feel protective of all young people and so this is so great to hear.  Not just getting healthy but potentially getting his career back on track!
