Not saying you have to go to the absolute top relievers you have there but it would have been nice to go to someone other than your worst reliever in a one run game with the top of your order due up in the 9th.

For the weekend it’s 3 for 31 with RISP, and the one hit last night didn’t drive in a run.

Fortunate to get the series win.

We easily could have been swept.

Not when you start a series with the Cubs tomorrow.

Bullpen will be rested and in good shape for the Cubs series.

This. Mission accomplished of getting through this game with the B-list bullpen. Still want to see a comeback here, of course, but this was what we needed from the pitchers

He's 26 going on 27.

And he looked really good before he got hurt.  He had a setback in spring training and is still ramping back up.  I'm guessing that it was a planned short-ish start to begin with today.

Gasser was excellent in 2024. 5 starts, 28 innings, ERA under 3, 1.03 WHIP. He got injured, like you said. I get not being thrilled with him today, but not sure why guys seem to be down on him long-term.

This is your quick reminder that, while they look likely to lose today, the Brewers have won 7 of 8, including 5 of 6 against two division leading teams, 8 of their last 10 games, are 3rd in MLB w/RISP, have one of the deepest pitching staffs in MLB, and would be a playoff team if the season ended today.

If Chourio can't play center which it looks like he can't that makes the excitement created along the way a little different. He was billed as good in center.

It’s okay to be happy and optimistic about that while also still recognizing that there are internal improvements they could make to this roster.

This kind of offense against the Cubs will likely mean getting swept.

The first game with Imanaga vs Sproat is one of those where you hope for one of those “that’s baseball” results.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Brewers have been playing great.    But that still doesn’t mean you don’t get better.  We have major weaknesses.    We  will see if we get exposed the next two weeks

I'm surprised they didn't all get struck by lightning and die.

They won the series because their pitching dominated the first two games.  The managed to lose one game because they didn't hit with runners in scoring position today.    Of the two teams in this series the one that was damn lucky not to get swept was the Twins.

Jesus ***** you guys. Lighten the hell up.

Never suggested otherwise.

My bad.  I must have forgot making the argument that they shouldn't try to get better.

If Chourio would be like 80% of Ronald Acuna he would be amazing as a corner outfield but the offense compared to what he was billed at has been fairly disappointing with the caveat that he could turn into an Acuna light type hitter.

I don’t know how Yelich can have such a beautiful swing in some ABs and look like he has a hole in his bat in others within the same game.

Really important to make sure we're saving that challenge for next inning.

We are so bad at ABS for some reason.

I'll take "Things you could see coming from a mile away, Ken."
