17-year old Ruben Revost looked like he may be the low man on the DSL position player totem pole, with only a pinch running appearance (and stolen base) thru 3 games, then his first start yesterday batting 9th and playing left field (0-for-2).

Well, first time up today: 3-run homer.

DSL Brewers Gold lead Cubs Blue 4-2 in the 3rd inning.

Heck of a morning for the DSL clubs. They lead by a combined 20-2 having scored 10 runs apiece as they each enter their 6th innings of 7-inning tilts.

Real shame that those poverty franchises can only go 7 innings.

This DSL class feels like a special one depth-wise. All the highest rated guys are on the older end, but the 16 year olds are looking like steals.

At this point even though the whiff issues are still very real, I think you need to promote Fischer to AA. I think he might need to be challenged more and even fail to start making adjustments that are necessary to get him to his potential.

Holy moly: Alexander Frias just walked off the ACL Royals with a solo shot to give ACL Brewers a 5-4 victory!

Every time I looked at GameDay, it felt like we had an 18-year old battling a 21-year old. Great win!

It’s like that at every level. The fact that every stateside team is above .500 is pretty crazy.

RHP Jaron DeBerry’s talent has been shining through of late (14 IP, 2 R, 13 Ks in last 2 starts). He leads AA Biloxi as they seek to clinch this week’s home series over Montgomery. 19-year old SS Jesus Made leads the Southern League in RBIs (40).

AAA Nashville have dropped 3 of 4 in Jacksonville this week and look to RHP Garrett Stallings (3.80 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, 7.6 K/9 in 42.2 IP) to right the ship. Promotion candidate SS Cooper Pratt’s on-base streak is up to 25 games.

19-year old RHP Carlos Carra has excelled in his last 2 starts (11 IP, 2 R, 14 Ks) and aims to help Low-A Wilson clinch its home series over Salem tonight. The Warbirds are 2nd in the 12-team Carolina League in runs per game (5.4) despite being last in batting average (.216). Last night’s grand slam walk-off hero RF Jose Anderson leads the league in homers (12).

High-A Wisconsin get a second chance to clinch this week’s series at Cedar Rapids, this time with studs LF Josh Adamczewski (9 RBIs last 2 games) and CF Braylon Payne (.934 OPS in 153 PAs) in the lineup. RHP Jason Woodward (5.75 ERA, 1.72 WHIP, 10.6 K/9 in 20.1 IP) has ramped up to about 60 pitches/outing.

Payne's HR makes it 11 in just 129 ABs.. thats quite close to the pace of Fischer, except that he's 3 years younger and plays CF

In Quad Cities - the TRats are all about the HR. Down 6-2, then a Bitonti bomb and the deficit is only one, down 6-5.  Payne, Fischer and Bitonti with HRs

Fischer looked completely fine in Spring and in the WBC against elevated pitchers. I think he is kind of coasting to be honest. Seems like a guy that plays up to the moment. Man against boys. I’d expect the K rate to go down in AA. I know I sound cuckoo.

Wilson’s Conrad went out for 4th inning of relief and allowed the ghost runner to score. Bottom of 10, Wilson needs 1 to tie it and 2 to win. C’mon boys.

meanwhile Andrew Fischer 2-4, with HR and single and 2 K. A walk away from pure 3T0

And down to 2 outs. Ghost runner on second. Ibarguen singles to tie it. He takes second on the throw. Very next pitch DiTuri brings him home for a walk off extras win in Wilson!!

its up to the T-Rats to keep the affiliated ball all in the W column (and biloxi if the game resumes).

Luis Castillo with a HR to cut it to 7-6. Let’s keep the rally going.
