Why is Chourio sliding right into the tag though?  Try to head first dive around it and make him reach for you.

Chourio was rushed to the show and it shows.

I’m more upset Turang isn’t at 2nd.

I wish Jett and Wilken weren’t hitting ..225 and .166 at AAA to force the 3B issue. Luke Adams has been on somewhat of a tear but small sample size

I may be wrong, but I don't think Adams is playing 3B any longer.  If he is, it isn't much.  I think that he has moved to 1B,

The offense has gone dead at a bad time.

Could be a difficult week.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I’m sorry…are we really mad at Chourio for getting thrown out at the plate on a hell of a throw and a miracle that the catcher held on to the ball?

As bad a loss as you can have considering your ace is on the hill. Just another playoff style game this team isn't going to win most nights

Don’t think he has really, I swore I saw he did a few days ago when Jett was filling in for Lara in the OF. Maybe I’m wrong. Believe Wilken has been at 1B all season too

The Braves just played better baseball tonight. Their LF makes the play and ours doesn't. Turang doesn't advance to 2B on the throw home. William not in the right spot telling Chourio how to slide. Just not Brewers baseball right there.

Nice at bat William.  At least your wRC+ is 114 or some ****.

He's in a bit of a mini slump. One for 11

That's what I am wondering.

that at-bat by Contreras in the first inning loomed large now. Swinging 2-0 at a ball out of the zone with the bases loaded to get himself out.

He's pretty clearly safe if he slides outside.  He literally slid right into the tag.

That was just good baseball by the braves.

Live I thought that was hit too hard and they might not send since only 1 out and good hitters coming up.  Obviously that turned out correct, but as I thought about it required a perfect throw and a bonkers catch to get him. So can't say it was wrong.   Hard to believe the C caught that ball. He basically closed his eyes and got lucky on it

No, he wasn’t. He literally put up 4 WAR as a rookie 20 year old. That is plenty good enough to play and start for any lineup in baseball. He was ready to play at this level. I think the last thing we can do this year is accuse our guys of being too aggressive calling up our prospects with as much as we’ve been pulling out our hair to see players like Lara get a shot over Frelick.

The amount of criticism for one of our best players who just got a huge 9th inning clutch hit off one of the best closers in baseball is crazy.

Nope but there are small things that he could do better like going back on fly balls that he didn't finish before getting called up. It shows. Doesn't mean he sucks.

He was rushed because his bat was ready. Other parts not so much.

But the ball took the tag literally right into him. I don't really think there is much he can do. He and the ball arrived at the same place at the same time.

If you're going to blame Chourio for not sliding outside, wouldn't your anger be directed at whomever is supposed to be guiding him to where the throw was coming in.. in this case it would've been Contreras.
