We are not set up for extra innings. Sometimes I hate baseball.

I mean we kind of are. Our best bats in the bottom half with Ortiz on 2nd.

Yelich and Turang right now are not anywhere close to our best bats.

A question about extra innings.

Is a team allowed to decline the free runner at second and put him at first instead?

Then hope for a 2 run HR.

Maybe Jean Segura can come out of retirement to steal first base to get to a runner on first instead of second?

Stranding Vaughn after his leadoff triple is looming large now.

I was thinking that.  Two other chances with a runner on 2nd and 1 out.

goin 0 for 7 in those chances most likely means losing the game and wasting another stellar outing by a brewers SP

With all the injuries, their pitching is a bunch of scrap-heap pickups that would get lit up by most AAA lineups (and in some cases, has).  Abysmal failure by the position players (and given the approaches, probably hitting coaches).

Unfortunately, the league straightened out after that one that what he did wasn’t legal.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Worried here. Kuhnel needs a strikeout, and I don't think he's a strikeout pitcher, is he?

well, he got one there.

Why wasn't Pratt bunting anyway?

Because Bauers whiffed on a pitch up in his eyes prior to Pratt batting.  Brewers got caught with their two worst hitters up back-to-back in a clutch situation. They both did what everybody expected, whiffed on pitches that were balls.

yes, in his 2 weeks in the big leagues, it's now an objective truth that he could never be clutch

His bat is not why they signed him and he was not hitting particularly well in Nashville.

Not saying he couldn’t develop that part of his game someday, but he’s not currently going to be a high end MLB bat.

It's getting tough now because I'm starting to think we need 3 relievers at the deadline and that's just not going to happen.
