You know ... I just saw the replay of the Chourio hit in the 11th for the first time.

You hear these things called on the radio or you just see the gamecast and you create your own visual of what happened...

I was not ready for the actual footage. What in the laugh out loud emoji was Thompson doing?

I know but the percentage chance of losing in the tenth was very high.  You have to admit that

You would be correct. Win probability dropped to 18% after the Brewers didn't score in the Top of the 10th and that's based on all games and scenarios. Doesn't factor in that we were using our 5th/6th best reliever against the heart of the Dbacks order.

Gotta get Miz and Harrison some rest.  I really hope pancakes decides to revisit the idiotic idea to go with a 5 man rotation and we shift to 6 for awhile

miz
harrison
woody
henderson
sproat/patrick
gasser
Drohan/patrick

It’s the bullpen that needs rest. Simply can’t have the luxury of a 6-man rotation if your starters don’t go 6 innings every time (and you go extra innings). Need 8 arms in the pen, desperately.

I think Drohan is going to the bullpen as a Chad Patrick type.   Even though I like Drohan as a starter

Then let’s get the shuttle going (like we’re doing with Gasser right now)… or go with a 5 man rotation with everyone getting a 15 day rehab 😆

I REALLY WISH I COULD BE WATCHING THIS ON MY TV RIGHT NOW. IM NOT UPSET.

But then you would have had to listen to their announcers.

It was painful. As much as we complain about our announcers, I think we are spoiled.  At least our announcers sound like they’re having fun and want to be there.

Actually you don’t have to. There’s an option to sync the sound of the teams’ radio broadcasts.

7 in the loss column

The loss column isn’t as important this early in the season. But, unless there are rainouts the Brewers and Cubs will have played the same number at the All Star break.

I will be pleased if the Brewers have a 6 game lead at the break

Pratt getting beaned on a two strike pitch was massive

They didn’t have the HBP on the condensed game video.

Did Pratt actually get beaned, or was he hit somewhere else?

He got it in the cheek (of his buttocks)

I agree that’s the plan, but really can’t do that until - I don’t think -  he makes the start on Monday. Then Henderson can take his spot later in the week. Right now, they really need the starters to eat some innings.

I’m seeing all of these comments about moving Yelich out of the leadoff spot..

IMHO the only real decision on Yelich is whether he starts at all. If he’s going to be in the lineup I’d rather have him at the top of the order ahead of the better hitters than batting seventh behind the better hitters

Giving Vaughn more ABs by using him more often as DH seems like a good idea. Just tinkering with the batting order isn’t likely to change much.

There are people who actually don't know that "beaned" means getting hit in the head...  The term is used loosely when a player gets hit anyplace, and that needs to stop!
