McGee can't be feeling great, Brewers prefer he be DFA instead of just transfering Lockridge to the 60 day IL. Also, don't understand why an argument can't be made Rom is better than Wilson as Wilson is pretty horrible.

I agree. I don't see an upgrade here over Rom other than that Rom can be optioned & is still around as a shuttle piece. I wonder if the pitching gurus saw something Wilson was/wasn't doing when he threw against us a couple weeks ago that is different from when he was here previously & can be fixed, albeit even for the (probably) short time that he's here.

AFA Wilson/ Stallings, I agree with @mudbutt. If someone is going to go 6-7 days without appearing in a game you'd much rather it be Wilson.

I don't know about this. I think the reason they didn't give guys like Rom or Woodford more innings is they weren't good enough. If they think Stallings can be more than just a mop up guy then they'd just give him more innings and give some of the others more of a break. If they don't view him as anyhting other than a mop up guy then why would they care if he goes a week without pitching? You don't sacrifice a good pitcher so an crappy one can eat a few innings now and then in a blowout. That's what Bauers is for.😁

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

Wasn’t it Wilson who gave up a 600 foot home run to Carlos Santana that capped off a pirates comeback win over the Brewers a couple of years ago?

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Think that was Matt Bush

Edit: Yeah it was Matt Bush - https://www.mlb.com/video/carlos-santana-homers-9-on-a-fly-ball-to-right-field-andrew-mccutchen-sco?q=BattingTeamId %3D [134] AND PitchingTeamId %3D [158] AND HomeTeamId %3D [134] AND BatterId %3D [467793] AND Inning %3D [9] Order By Timestamp DESC&cp=MIXED&p=0

Yeah, I found that game on baseball reference. That home run capped off the Brewers blowing a 7 to 3 lead.

I think they've had games lately where they haven't needed a long man and when they did---in Arizona---people they trust a little bit more like Anderson, Patrick & even Yoho were available for length. I won't go overboard on Stallings' last outing---he showed a nice changeup & located it well---I just think they have a little more of an inclination to let Wilson be the guy to work irregularly if it's between the two.

Been awhile for Bauers, he's probably rusty lol.

Bauers has probably become too valuable to use as our position player pitcher. I wonder who it would be if they used one this year.
