Just need to hope he turns it around because Murph basically said Yelich moving down in the order would be disrespectful to him

That’s dumb if he believes that.

Albert Pujols was DFAed. Alex Rodriguez was ushered into retirement.

Things change. Being a Brewer legend in your mid to late 20s doesn’t buy you a career pass to the top of the lineup into your mid 30s when Father Time has caught up to you.

Was looking into AQI issues, since I know this has been a thing for a few consecutive years now. No such thing as a magic number, but a lot of the previous PPDs and one relocation have happened with AQIs above 200, some closer to 400.

AI says MLB is "likely to scrutinize anything over 200," but that seems like just pulling a number out of the aether.

Sadly, this might have to be something put into a league-wide policy. You could make different rules for indoor/outdoor stadiums, but if it's going to impact half a dozen series every year, you probably want to tie yourself to some clear metrics (AQI above 200 outdoors, above 250 in or whatever) rather than wait and have to make the call each time, facing all kinds of scheduling pressure and incentives to play.

I was at the 2022 playoff game in Seattle that had an AQI around 150. That was right at the level I would draw the line at. Except the game was 6 hours long 😅

Yelich will be moved down by the end of the month if he continues to slump

Murphy is too soft … batting his buddy in the leadoff role even though everyone can see he’s washed. I want the manager to be “friendly” with the players … Murphy chooses to be “friends” with them. That’s a problem. He isn’t objective.

That was a pretty disrespectful K by Yelich.

Strike 3 could not have been more middle middle and he flailed at it.

How long can a player be in a slump before it is determined that he’s no longer a major league quality hitter?

I basically said the same thing a while back (a long while). He's not slumping. This is who he is now.
