The best argument I can make for going after a guy like Skubal besides the fact that he is Skubal is that he would likely replace Sproat.

I’d rather endure Sproat than get an injury prone rental superstar

All three of those at bats were ruined with bad strike calls that weren't challenged.

Both Turang and Contreras did have 1 ball each called strikes.  But that doesn't mean they had to each swing at pitches a foot outside to strikeout.

Nah, he’s been electric like always since returning.

Cost dependent obviously but I want to go to a World Series. The guy on the mound today isn’t going to contribute to that.

Sproat doesn’t need to help them reach a world series this year. He needs to eat some innings and be left off the playoff roster.

He’s 6 for his last 27, 14 for his last 60 with 1 HR, and is hitting under .200 the last month.

Christian Yelich “heating up” sure means something a lot different than it used to.

Lol, this is true, but I didn’t say he’s been hot for a month.  As a leadoff hitter he’s found his way on base in 12 straight, could be worse.  Just don’t factor in his salary or it’s worse.

There are options between Sproat & Skubal that could be acquired via trade for far less prospect capital.

Lara (and Pratt) are not accustomed to an MLB schedule. They naturally require more off days than the other guys as they adjust to MLB life.

Mahle is also worse against RHH this year to the tune of an .872 OPS vs. .726 against LHH.

Hardly nonsense. I'll defer to the decision-making of the winningest manager in Brewers history for the most part.

By the way Lara is a switch hitter so this makes zero difference. Bench Bauers in that case. I understand you want to argue with me but just think it through.

I would be very unhappy if we gave up prospects with years of control for a 2 month rental.

Call them fast, Sproat will be serving up plenty more meatballs between now and then

Sproat just belongs in AAA. Can't be a guy with terrible command that can't hold his velo more than 2 innings. His FB velo was already down 2mph in the 4th inning. You think that hitter hits the HR if that FB was 97 like it was in the first inning?

Which prospects? This is far too general to be true or false. There is a Grand Canyon between Jesus Made and Tyler Black.

Sproat has got to go down to triple a. He is not good at all.

He’s gotta be the one replaced once Harrison is ready, sadly probably means one more start at least though.
