He played six games in a row & has played every other day since then. He's gotten opportunities, and I'm looking forward to him getting more which I'm sure he will. Look at Pratt. He came out smokin', seemed to hit a wall (offensively) & is now heating up again. There might be something Lara needs to adjust to, maybe swing path, maybe just video work on pitchers he's never seen before. Or something else. And like I said, it's not like he's been buried.

I had no issue with Turang laying the ball down, but give yourself a better chance to beat it out of the box for a hit--a little less of a square-around. Or even try to drag it vs a relatively inexperienced 1B.

The problem is the guys hitting after him are colder than the stare my future father in law gave when unexpectedly finding me in bed with his 19 year old daughter when he was trying to wake her up. 

He's been gone now for 10 years or so but I'll never forget that look.

Our 19 year old versions had some good and stupid times in the early 80s

If you're bunting for a base hit, that's a weapon & one that IMO gets a bad rap. I mean, the people after him NEED to heat up. If they don't you have little chance for sustained success anyway.

Also.....what the hell? you didn't have a vehicle with an ample back seat?

At this point Yelich needs to take one for the team and go on the dl for awhile.    For at least one week even though I can’t stand the guy - Sanchez and Contreras need to split the games.    Contreras needs to sit some.  
 

Vaughn and Bauers can play every game or maybe you do bring a bomber up from the minors and see what he can do

you finally are getting production from the bottom of the order and the  so called best hitters suck.    And for awhile now.  
 

it has hit unacceptable stages.     It’s just disheartening because I have finally jumped on the coattails of everyone else in just not believing they can do anything in the postseason let alone who knows how this year is going to finish

Also I mentioned it in the game thread but Vaughn is just as bad defensively as Bauers. That double from Horowitz had absolutely no business getting beyond Vaughn with Vaughn playing both deep and protecting the line. Just watch the replay and see how terrible of a reaction Vaughn had on this one.

What the hell do we do with Yelich and Contreras? Put Yelich on the IL with some phantom injury? Drop Contreras down in the order? I mean, these guys are absolutely killing us right now and have been for awhile. And Chourio isn't much better. What a day.
