Tyler Glasnow allowed one run over 2 2/3 innings in his rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Sunday.

Glasnow allowed one hit and no hard-hit balls with his fastball at 94-98 mph in the 47-pitch outing tonight. He’s due for at least one and probably two more rehab starts as he makes his return from a back injury.

No argument here. Never should have given an inexperienced coach the job.

The Brewers probably had no business winning this series so I'll definitely take it before a tough road trip. Looking forward to seeing what the plan is for the left side of the infield if Ortiz is out for an extended time.

OK, this makes even less sense. 

Eric Theisen was promoted to lead hitting coach for the 2026 season after working his way up through the Brewers organization. He previously served as the Triple-A Nashville Sounds hitting coach in 2024 and as the MLB assistant hitting coach in 2025. Theisen has no MLB playing experience and was a pitcher at Illinois State before coaching at D2 Hillsdale College.

I don’t think you’re going to find anything specifically addressing something that bizarre. 
 

A theoretically possible (though extremely unlikely) scenario could involve something like.a long fly ball on which the runner on second stays close to the base to tag up, but the runner on first goes most of the way to second.
 

When the ball isn’t caught, both runners take off and the trailing runner is right behind the lead runner. They both round third and head home. The throw comes in and the catcher swipes to tag the lead runner. While he’s doing that the trail runner continues to the plate and isn’t tagged. The lead runner is called safe so the umpire doesn’t make a call on the trailing runner. 

If the defensive team challenges and the lead runner is called out, I would think the trailing runner would still score. I don’t think the game “automatically pauses” with the first call. The general principle that the runners are placed where they would have been if the correct call had been made should apply.

If you ever see a play like that in a game ending situation, let me know how it came out,

This was the exact scenario I was going to present if pressed. I can't imagine it has verbiage in a rulebook somewhere ... but I was watching the final play tonight and the thought definitely crossed my mind that if you are Mitchell and no one is paying attention to you that you should be hauling around 3rd with reasonable intent to make the umpire make a judgment call in the unlikely scenario... because the above hypothetical would seem to be a judgment call.
