Such a big win and players we expect something from are performing. 
it’s time to fully sit Yelich until everything is clinched. 
my main concern is how some of our starting pitchers have become way too hittable. But, Ws keep coming…well done, Brewers!

Hi guys.  I'm  back after months of being unable to sign in.  The site finally let me reset my password.

My sister and her hubby were at the game yesterday.  I didn't want to rub it in afterwards so we didn't text.  😉

Baseball is a game of primarily negative outcomes. The Brewers have made outs in 66.8% of their plate appearances, and their .332 OBP is second best in MLB. Silver linings, I guess. The internet is a cesspool of negativity, who wants to contribute to that?

Has Murphy got a single lineup right all season? The Brewers have posted a 107 wRC+ and scored 5.03 runs per game (both 3rd in MLB) despite his malfeasance. That is above my personal expectations entering the season, so I see it as more of a reason for celebration than derision.

BaseRuns thinks they should only have scored about 4.87 runs per game, so the numbers back up that the offense has overachieved their inputs (again, they were +0.21 R/G last year). That extra +0.16 runs per game this year is the third largest positive differential between BaseRuns and actual R/G behind the White Sox (+0.17) and Cardinals (+0.20).

This year, the Brewers are 1st in PA | 2nd in wRC+ | 1st in RBI with RISP, since Murphy took over in 2024 the Brewers are 1st in PA | 2nd in wRC+ | 1st in RBI with RISP. You don't think he has anything to do with that?

Maybe you aren't watching the games so you aren't aware that everything is falling apart after losing the series to the Reds.

Incredibly, the Brewers longest winning streak this year is only 5 games, which is amazing for being 89-56, and only possible because they have indeed been consistent and not fallen into the prolonged funks that often plague a team sometime throughout the course of a long season.  

I didn’t realize the longest streak was five games. That’s a crazy stat given their record.

I’m also pretty sure it’s only happened one time so it’s not like they have a bunch of 5 game win streaks. It’s been more methodical where they pretty much just win every series

Contrast that with the Cubs who had two 10 game winning streaks and a 10 game losing streak all before the month of May was even over 😳

Now if their fans wanted to say, “we are just not consistent,” I think that would be a valid statement.

I'm seeing two 5-game streaks (5/6-12 & 6/21-26), but it really has been workmanlike. They also had a season high 6-game losing streak in April to go from 8-2 to 8-8,

Yeah you're right. I missed the May 5 game streak.
