They play in the division with the 3 best teams in the American League. The Brewers just swept the Cubs, took 2/3 against the Reds that’s hardly “fading”

Having Mitchell bunt is a little perplexing. I know the lefty-lefty matchup is not ideal, but he’s not abjectly hopeless against lefties: .255/.362/.357. Glad Sal could get the run in, but it’d be nice to have no outs.

Some questionable pinch-hitting here with Hamilton for Pratt. Also weakens the defense. Unless Pratt still has some lingering illness symptoms from earlier this week.

It depends what you're targeting.  Bunting first scores the runner on second 46% of the time vs 33% if you swing away, but to score 2+ runs you're better off swinging away, 14% vs 10%. 

Me, I'm usually happy with the one run then pray for the bullpen.
