1986 Eagles and Carr's first year in Houston spring to mind. Eagles gave up 104 sacks, don't have the numbers for Houston but I remember it being a weekly thing that Carr was just getting slaughtered.

I do not. What were the ticket prices then? (In 1994 the average ticket price was $26).

Re: 1986 Eagles. Randall Cunningham was 72 of the 104 sacks; he started 5 games and threw 209 passed. In a 4-game stretch he was smacked 40 times.

There are plenty of people willing to pay that. A handful of years of 4-6 wins isn't going to do anything serious to that waiting list.

The falcons definitely figured out the proper cleats cuz I don't see a lot of their guys falling down like a lot of the teams that come in to lambeau
