I assumed Ashby was unavailable. Maybe I'm mistaken.

I really don’t believe that throwing 26 pitches yesterday after 3 days off prior makes Ashby unavailable.

Its the NLCS, I don’t believe anyone is truly ever unavailable,

Do the Dodgers have any more leftys in the bullpen? Because if not, then Vaughn should've hit.

You think you can hurt me? I watch Wisconsin sports. You can't hurt me.

So what exactly was Vaughn being saved for?

If he used Vaughn there and got out you would have Vaughn against Phillips or Diaz compared to Bauers. Murphy did this in the Padres series as well and saved Vaughn and Sanchez for the 9th

I've lost count how many pitchers do the Dodgers have left before they have to get creative?

I think they're... still mostly fine. They have that Rodriguez with nasty-nasty stuff and Edwin Diaz... who I guess is throwing better.
2-down though. Uribe is shoving!

Saving Ashby for Freeman and Ohtani is my guess

I would have Uribe face Betts than Ashby come in for Freeman and Hernandez

100% not.

Hell, he's a sinker ball pitcher. I've heard that stupid cliche that "it actually makes his sinker a little more effective." Which I don't buy, but you HAVE to win this game... today.

You throw your best arms. I'd let Uribe face Betts though.

He shouldn’t have been allowed to challenge

In the playoffs I don't mind them getting another second to decide. Game speed isn't quite as important as getting it right when the stakes are this high. He also did tap his helmet once and the ump missed it.

Was he late? I didn't notice.

Never mind, saw the explanation.

Same. And I'd let Ashby get Ohtani in the 9th if we have another 1-2-3 inning.

Bill on a random Wednesday in June is going to drive you nuts but in October the dude is going to lock in. That's what you want.

One of the few guys I'd re-sign, especially with Yeli likely coming off the books after 2028 so they'd only have to eat both salaries for a year.

3 lefties mowed down in order

I don’t care what is coming up later.  It’s not like Vaughn can’t hit a right handed pitcher.  He needed to bat last inning.

All depends on what he is asking, and you know damn well, it's going to be astronomical...
